  • Patent number: 4449484
Abstract: A hot water supply system comprises a base of cylindrical shape; a storage tank supported on the base, the tank having an upper end plate and a lower end plate supported on the base and defining, together with an inner face of the base, a soundproofing chamber; and a pulse combustor including a pulse burner attached to the lower end plate, and a tail pipe which communicates with the burner and is arranged inside the storage tank next to the lower end plate, the tail pipe having an ascending portion extending from the pulse burner toward the upper end plate, and a descending portion extending from a top end of the ascending portion toward the lower end plate to guide condensed water condensed inside the tail pipe to outside the storage tank. The system further comprises a blower, a suction muffler, and an exhaust muffler which are arranged inside the soundproofing chamber, the base having a soundproofing layer to shield noise generated in the soundproofing chamber.

  • Patent number: 4368032
Abstract: A liquid fuel combustion apparatus comprises a combustion cylinder, a fuel reservoir, a housing, a blower and an electrical ignition heater. The reservoir is disposed inside the cylinder to store a liquid fuel supplied from outside of the cylinder. The housing is disposed outside the cylinder to create a space therebetween and has an end wall opposite to an end wall of the cylinder. The blower is disposed outside, and in a spaced apart relation to, the housing and supply air to the space. The heater is supported by the end walls and ignite liquid fuel stored in the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 4294081
Abstract: A freezing refrigerator has a freezing chamber for accommodating food to be freezed and a cold chamber for accommodating food kept at low temperature, those chambers being separated by a heat insulative member and provided with doors, respectively. The cold chamber is provided therein a cold chamber cooler for cooling the inside thereof and the freezing chamber is provided therearound with a first freezing chamber cooler for cooling the inside therein. A second freezing chamber cooler is provided close to the rear side of the freezing chamber but is separated from the inner surface of the freezing chamber. The surface temperature of the second cooler is kept lower than that of the first freezing chamber cooler. A shield plate is further provided to blind one from seeing the second cooler when the door for the freezing chamber is open, the shield plate being disposed close to the second cooler.
