  • Publication number: 20240399236
Abstract: Methods and system are provided to allow users to capture metrics from their golf adventures and memories, e.g., experiences on a golf course, for example, by recording content associated with the user experience on the golf course. Users may then display this content on an electronic map. By use of the electronic map, a user may interact with other users to share an experience on a golf course. For example, a user may share content regarding a golf course showing holes played, interaction with other users, and other content, thereby providing a user story. Users may also comment on their own or other users' play during a game of golf, such as bragging about golf play or commenting on another user's poor performance. Users may keep an experiential history of their play across different courses around the country or world.

  • Patent number: 9881702
Abstract: A method of shutting down a nuclear reactor may include compressing a scram gas that is in fluid communication with a scram accumulator. The scram accumulator defines a chamber therein and contains bellows within the chamber. The bellows are configured to hold a scram liquid in isolation of the scram gas. The scram gas exerts a compressive force on the bellows in a form of stored energy. The method may additionally include releasing the stored energy in response to a scram signal such that the scram gas expands into the chamber of the scram accumulator to compress the bellows and expel the scram liquid from the scram accumulator to insert control rods into a core of the nuclear reactor.

  • Publication number: 20160347508
Abstract: A bag or package which can separate and retain fines or particles filtered from the contents of the bag or package is disclosed. The bag or package may be dual-layered. The inner layer, or second layer, may include one or more grates, holes, mesh portions, openings, perforations, or slits disposed in one or more surfaces of the second layer. The openings can filter fines or particles from the contents of the second layer into a gap or pocket formed between a portion of the inner layer and the outer layer, or first layer. Alternatively, the bag or package may be single layered and include a septum in its interior. The septum can have one or more openings that filter fines or particles from the contents of the bag into a gap or pocket.

  • Publication number: 20130332865
Abstract: A user interface that includes an activity initiation area that includes an activity initiation control that may be interacted with in order to initiate respective activities, and a notification area in which one or more notifications related to the activity may be displayed. The notification area is spatially related to the activity initiation control in a fixed manner for multiple activities. The activity initiation area may appear along a lower boundary of the display much as a partially pulled out drawer as viewed from above. The notification area may also appear along the lower boundary of the display, but extend further vertically, much as a fully pulled out drawer as viewed from above. This helps give a contextual understanding of the subject matter of the notifications in relation to the activities that have been, or may be, initiated from the activity initiation area.

  • Patent number: 7730183
Abstract: A system and method for generating and/or managing virtual network(s) is provided. The system provides an interface for end-user(s) to create a virtual network (e.g., on-demand). The virtual network comprises a plurality of servers that allow the user to, for example, develop and/or test software, migrate applications, apply tasks and/or troubleshoot scenarios in a simulated, distributed environment. A user can communicate with the system via an interface (e.g., web-based) to create and/or manage the virtual network. Additionally, the system can employ a common infrastructure to facilitate creation and/or management of a variety of virtual deployment configurations. The common infrastructure can be designed, for example, by administrator(s) having knowledge of hardware and/or software available for employment within the virtual network. The system can further provide a load-balancing mechanism to determine and/or distribute workload to computer(s) with available resource(s).
