Abstract: A self-closing spout having a cylindrical housing (10) with a delivery spout where the cylindrical housing is positioned around a cylindrical body (6) having a primary latching system and a secondary latching system for controlling the opening and closing of said self-closing spout when said self-closing spout is attached to a container. A circular sleeve (4) is positioned around the cylindrical body (6) for operating a valve operating system (14). The primary latching system has a latch (9) and an actuator (11) for opening the latch (9) and the secondary latching system has two stepped tabs (8) that engage a lip (10A) on the housing 10 to prevent fluid in a container to which the spout is attached from leaking.

Abstract: The present invention provides a planter or flower pot having a base member having at least one indentation in a side wall wherein said indentation is sized to allow a watering device having a spout to deliver water to at least a portion of a side wall that extends upwardly from the bottom of the flower pot and is wide enough so that water delivered to the side wall will flow downwardly along the sidewall to the bottom of the flower pot and into the space defined by the base member or saucer.

Abstract: A plant strap adapted to suspend a potted plant in a larger empty container. The plant strap has three or more hook elements positioned at a first end of elongated straps having a first and a second end, where the second end is connected at a common base. The common base, in combination with the straps is sized to accommodate the base of a potted plant container while the straps are sized so that the hook elements engage a rim of a larger empty container.

Abstract: A planter having (a) a base element sized to accommodate a plant, said base having one or more side elements that form a wall of said base, said base having a upper portion and a lower portion, said upper portion having a first base mating edge and an integrally formed flange that extends horizontally and upwardly from said upper portion of the base to form a second base mating edge; and (b) a circumferential rim forming element having a first rim mating edge that is sized to engage the first base mating edge of said upper portion of said base element and having a second rim mating edge that is sized to engage said second base mating edge.

Abstract: A hanging planter having a bowl shaped container and a suspension assembly is provided. The suspension assembly comprises a plurality of stringers the lower ends of which are attached to the rim of the container. The upper end of the stringers are joined together in a rim shaped hub to which is removably connected a hook so that the hook and stringer assembly are rotatable relative to each other.

Abstract: A flower pot is provided having an upper pot section and a base reservoir section. The upper pot section is formed with an open top, a closed side wall and a slotted or perforated bottom wall. A concave depression is formed on the lower edge of the side wall and outer edge of the bottom wall tapering off upward and inward. Downwardly protruding from the slotted bottom wall of the upper pot section is a shaped footing section adapted to hold both soil and a substantial portion of the flower root system that has its own closed side walls and a bottom wall. A footing section extends down below the side wall of the base section. The downward protruding footing is perforated to allow water deposited in the base section to enter up into the roots.
