    Abstract: A fixture is removably affixed to a workpiece thereby providing a temporary reference edge positioned parallel to a reference line and a known distance from a reference point on the workpiece. The temporary reference edge in cooperation with a guide and a cutting blade of a cutting table enables the workpiece to be accurately cut with respect to the reference line and reference point without first having to cut a reference edge on the workpiece.
