  • Publication number: 20240188987
Abstract: A system for accessing a biliary duct includes an access cannula and a needle. The cannula extends along a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end and includes a channel extending longitudinally therethrough. A distal portion of the cannula includes a laser cut pattern including slots extending through a wall thereof so that the cannula is movable between a biased non-compressed configuration and a compressed configuration, in which the cannula is compressed along the longitudinal axis. The needle extends longitudinally from a proximal end to a sharp distal end. The needle is housed within the channel so that, when the cannula is in the non-compressed configuration, the sharp distal end is covered via the cannula and, when the cannula is in the compressed configuration, the sharp distal end is exposed to puncture a wall of one of an organ and a target duct.

  • Patent number: 11982510
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sight system incorporating offset optical components. One embodiment is a sight system supporting multiple laser beams that are used simultaneously. As such, an assembly having two clamps is provided. Each clamp can hold a laser on opposite sides of a firearm barrel. The lasers can be diametrically opposed on the barrel wherein the lasers are in plane with a projectile axis. The lasers can project at the same time to bracket the location on the target of where the projectile hit impact. In another embodiment, the assembly, again with two clamps, is adapted for use with a bow, wherein the clamps support lasers that are in plane with the projectile axis. In another embodiment, the optical component is one or more cameras, wherein reticles can be displayed on a screen to bracket a target.

  • Publication number: 20240093892
Abstract: A refrigerant leak detection (RLD) and/or mitigation/containment (RLM/RLC) system/method for use in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems that incorporates a plurality of temperature and/or humidity sensors (THS), alarm status indicator (ASI), and digital control processor (DCP) is disclosed. The THS are positioned within the HVAC system (condenser coils (HCC), evaporator coils (HEC), air intake fans (AIF), air supply plenums (ASP), air return plenums (ARP), and/or temperature controlled environment (TCE)) and reports THS temperature readings to the DCP via a common temperature sensor bus (TSB) and/or a wireless temperature interface (WTI). The DCP interprets THS temperature readings in a closed control loop (CCL) to dynamically determine if a refrigerant leak has occurred within the HVAC system. If a leak is detected, the DCP activates the ASI and optionally one or more refrigerant control valves (RCV) is closed to limit refrigerant leakage in the HVAC system.

Abstract: A method for producing a neutrons includes triggering a raising or a lowering of a temperature of a pyroelectric crystal of less than about 40° C. to produce a voltage of negative polarity of at least ?100 keV on a surface of a deuterated or tritiated target coupled thereto. A deuterium ion source is pulsed to produce a deuterium ion beam. The accelerating of the deuterium ion beam is achieved by accelerating voltage of the pyroelectric crystal toward the deuterated or tritiated target to produce neutrons. Furthermore, the pyroelectric crystal, the deuterated or tritiated target, and the deuterium ion source are coupled to a common support. The method also includes throwing the common support housing the pyroelectric crystal, the deuterated or tritiated target, and the deuterium ion source near an unknown threat for identification thereof.
