Abstract: Methods and systems for route summarization are described herein. The method includes generating a route from an origin to a destination, the route including a plurality of maneuvers. One or more maneuvers are removed from the plurality of maneuvers based, at least in part, upon geographic information about a selected user. A summarized route is generated that reflects the removal of the one or more maneuvers from the plurality of maneuvers such that the summarized route has fewer maneuvers than the route.

Abstract: The present invention relates to medical use of liposomes, more particular the first medical use of sPLA2 hydrolysable liposomes. Such liposomes may be used for targeted delivery of therapeutic agents to cancerous tissue and in such embodiments; the therapeutic agents are typically small molecule antitumor agents. Other aspects of the inventions relates to methods of reducing the side effects of therapeutic agents, e.g. reducing nephrotoxicity, neurotoxicity and gastrointestinal toxicity of a therapeutic agent. Yet another aspect of the present invention relate to methods of prolonging the therapeutic effect of a therapeutic agent.

Thus they are used for preparing medicaments for these purposes and, more specifically, for the treatment or prevention of IgE mediated allergic reactions and conditions, such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, atopic eczema or anaphylaxis, and autoimmune disorders, such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis or psoriasis, as well as for the alleviation of pain. They can for example be formulated into pharmaceuticals, cosmetics or dietary supplements. A method of preparing such compositions from Alpinia galanga is also described.

Abstract: Certain diterpenes as well as extracts or concentrates of the plant Curcuma amada containing at least one such diterpene can be used as medicaments for immunomodulation and for the alleviation of pain. Specifically, they are used for preparing medicaments for the treatment or prevention of hypersensitivity diseases, in particular IgE mediated allergic reactions and conditions as well as autoimmune disorders. Extracts of the plant can i.e. be obtained by extraction or by hydro, steam or vacuum distillation of fresh or dried Curcuma amada or parts thereof, preferably the rhizome. Extraction may be performed with water or with a number of different organic solvents, preferably water miscible solvents, or with mixtures thereof. After the primary distillation or extraction process a second step of processing, such as liquid-liquid extraction, column chromatography, steam distillation or vacuum distillation, can be employed to remove or to concentrate and possibly isolate any constituent of the extract.
