  • Patent number: 5598892
Abstract: A tool extender to bridge the space between a person and a portable tool to be remotely actuated by the person includes cradle means engageable with the tool and at least one guide rod attached to the cradle means and slidable within a bridge support. A strap is attached to the bridge support and is adjustable to engage a handle of the tool, whereby the strap and cradle means jointly support the tool. A mount, such as a shoulder mount, arm mount, elbow mount, or the like is attached to an elongated arm structure which extends to the bridge support. A trigger actuation mechanism includes a cord which extends from a grip element, along the elongated arm structure, to a hook engageable with a tool trigger. The trigger actuation mechanism is operable by manual squeezing of the grip element toward the mount and away from the hook. The guide rods, cord, and strap are adjustable for accommodating various sized tools. A handle is removably attached to the elongated arm structure.

  • Patent number: 5361851
Abstract: A tool reach extender is usable with a variety of different hand tools, and has grip handle portion fitting into a saddle member slidably adjustable on a guide structure at one end of the reach extender. The guide structure front end is connected to a cradle which has a clamp screw engageable against the undersurface of a tool body. The cradle has a U-shaped bridging bar to overlie the upper surface of the tool body so that the nose portion of the tool is clamped in the cradle. The saddle member and cradle cooperatively grip and support the tool. Various tool sizes are accommodated.

  • Patent number: 4092733
Abstract: An electrically alterable, non-volatile interconnect selectively connects and disconnects microcircuit elements formed on a wafer. The interconnect is formed on the same wafer as the microcircuit elements during the circuit fabrication process to permit electrically controlled reconfiguration of the microcircuit elements on the wafer. This enables wafer scale integration by permitting defective circuit elements to be bypassed and operable, redundant circuits to be substituted for them. MNOS memory transistors provide non-volatile storage of the chosen conductivity state of each interconnect, in the form of impedance differences. In a preferred embodiment, the impedance differences set a flip-flop whose output enables a gate. The gate may include amplification of the signals gated. In one phase of the cycle of operation, the chosen conductivity state of the interconnect may be read into the MNOS memory through the flip-flop.
