  • Patent number: 5399434
Abstract: Laminar structures having a polyimide core layer, inner fluorinated ethylenepropylene copolymer (FEP) layers, intermediate polytetrafluoroethylene homopolymer (PTFE) and fluorinated ethylenepropylene copolymer (FEP) blend layers and outer fluorinated ethylenepropylene copolymer (FEP) layers for use in the form of narrow tapes as an insulating wire or cable wrap.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 21, 1993
Date of Patent: March 21, 1995
Assignee: E. I. Du Pont de Nemours and Company
Inventors: Morton Katz, Philip R. LaCourt
  • Patent number: 5078936
Abstract: A method for preparing an electrically conductive polyimide article having a polyimide matrix with carbon black and graphite particles uniformly dispersed therein. The method includes the steps of milling carbon black and graphite in a polar solvent to form a slurry, mixing the slurry with polyamide acid to form a dope, shaping the dope, and converting the shaped material into a polyimide article.
