Abstract: A service group is identified within an enterprise, wherein the service group comprises at least one or more applications and one or more hosts configured to work together to offer a service to the enterprise. The service group may be periodically (or in response to certain conditions being met) evaluated for potential cloud migration or (e.g., in the event the service group has already been migrated to the cloud) further optimization, wherein the evaluation comprises: determining a current allocation efficiency score for the service group; and then obtaining one or more allocation efficiency score estimates from one or more cloud providers, wherein the estimates correspond to the current allocation efficiency score for the service group. Recommendations, including migration likelihood scores, may be presented to a user for the migration and/or further optimization of the service group by migrating the service group to one (or more) of the recommended cloud providers.
