Patent number: 7343763Abstract: A cylinder lock having a body and a modified cam, the cylinder lock being adapted for moving an external element arranged to engage the modified cam, so that the external element slides axially on the cylinder lock body. In a preferred embodiment, the inventive cylinder lock is designed to utilize a helical cam which engages a movable sleeve, and this design is referred to as the HC cylinder lock. When operated by rotating the appropriate key within it, the movable sleeve can be moved in a linear fashion along the length of the HC cylinder lock thus converting rotational motion of the key to axial motion of the external element. This axial motion is used to position at least one locking bolt, of which the sleeve itself may be one, for the function of locking or unlocking a device. The streamlined design of the inventive HC cylinder lock enables efficient placement of a door lock within the hollow volume of a door.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2006Date of Patent: March 18, 2008Inventor: Moshe Dolev

Patent number: 6676670Abstract: A hair depilating device having a plucking assembly comprising at least two hubs, each accomodating at least one radially-extending swivel element mounted on the hub via a pin radially extending from the wall of the hub. The sidewall of the hub further includes a pinch plate, which projects radially outwardly therefrom. The radially-extending swivel element and pinch plate of a neighboring disc-like assembly define a V-shaped hair trap. The other side of the pinch plate forms a second V-shaped hair trap with a radial extension swivel element of a third opposing neighboring disc-like assembly. The opposing edges of the hair-traps at the rear end meet first, and only afterwards is the entire trap closed. This design provides a substantially reduced rotational closure distance, traveled by the hair-trap elements from the instant the trap begins to close until full trap closure.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2002Date of Patent: January 13, 2004Inventor: Moshe Dolev

Patent number: 6158125Abstract: A cutter assembly for use in a shaver for shaving hair from the skin of a user includes a casing formed with a static blade configuration and a static bearing surface removed from the static blade configuration. Mounted within the casing is a moving cutter, which has a number of blades and a bearing surface formed to complement the static bearing surface. A spring element biases the moving cutter against the casing so that the complementary bearing surface slides against the static bearing surface, this sliding corresponding to a shearing cutting action of the moving blades relative to the static blade configuration. This reduces the frictional heating between the blades. Also described is a static blade configuration in which extended open-ended slots are reinforcement by transverse support ribs.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 1999Date of Patent: December 12, 2000Inventor: Moshe Dolev

Patent number: 5261427Abstract: A lice comb device constructed as a portable, hand-held housing containing a blower heater, to heat and direct a stream of heated air toward a set of comb teeth attached to the housing. Each of the comb teeth is formed with a hollow cavity having an opening at its end. The heated air stream is directed via the comb tooth and exits at the opening, where it is deflected away from the scalp by a concave surface, so that it impinges on lice and lice eggs attached near the hair root. The temperature of the heated air destroys the lice and lice eggs. An exterior cooling jacket portion surrounding the interior housing portion provides a thermal barrier by conducting the flow of cooler air, allowing for safe handling of the comb housing. A chemical or natural agent may be placed in a receptacle in the housing, so as to introduce vapors in the heated air stream, with the vapors directed via the comb teeth to improve the lice-killing effects.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 1992Date of Patent: November 16, 1993Inventor: Moshe Dolev
