  • Patent number: 11846514
Abstract: Techniques for assisting a passenger to identify a vehicle and for assisting a vehicle to identify a passenger are discussed herein. Also discussed herein are techniques for capturing data via sensors on a vehicle or user device and for presenting such data in various formats. For example, in the context of a ride hailing service using autonomous vehicles, the techniques discussed herein can be used to identify a passenger of the autonomous vehicle at the start of a trip, and can be used to assist a passenger to identify an autonomous vehicle that has been dispatched for that particular passenger. Additionally, data captured by sensors of the vehicle and/or by sensors of a user device can be used to initiate a ride, determine a pickup location, orient a user within an environment, and/or provide visualizations or augmented reality elements to provide information and/or enrich a user experience.

  • Patent number: 11682242
Abstract: A vehicle safety system of a vehicle facilitates safe exigency ingress into a vehicle. The vehicle safety system may receive data associated with a condition of the vehicle (e.g., from sensors, components, remote signals, passenger input, etc.). Based at least in part on the data associated with the condition of the vehicle, the vehicle safety system may detect a triggering event associated with the ingress of a passenger compartment of the vehicle. Based at least in part on the triggering event, the vehicle safety system may perform a vehicular safety measure associated with ingress to the passenger compartment of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230117221
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are directed to efficient and robust resolution of edge-cases encountered by artificial intelligence systems in physical environments. In one aspect, a method may include receiving event data from a client application programming interface (API) associated with an intelligent software agent at least partially controlling an endpoint in an environment, the event data representing an edge-case encountered by the endpoint, identifying one or more tasks based on the event data, providing each task to a respective user interface of at least one user client, receiving, from a respective user interface of each user client, user input associated with each task provided to the at least one user client, based on the user input, determining a remedial action, and sending the remedial action to the client API to initiate resolution of the edge-case by the intelligent software agent at least partially controlling the endpoint in the environment.

  • Publication number: 20220288336
Abstract: An intubation device assembly includes an intubation device, an optical imaging device attached to the intubation device, an image display device attached to the intubation device, a first position sensor operatively connected to the image display device, a second position sensor operatively connected to the intubation device, and a force sensor operatively connected to the intubation device. A controller operates the image display device to display a video image of the optical imaging device and at least one parameter corresponding to an operation of at least one of the optical imaging device, the first position sensor, the second position sensor, and the force sensor. The controller further determines an orientation of a screen of the image display device according to an operation of the first position sensor. The controller displays the least one parameter in a position on the screen according to the orientation of the screen.

  • Patent number: 11344690
Abstract: A method of displaying information associated with an application of an intubation device includes detecting an orientation of a screen attached to the intubation device, and setting a template for displaying values of a parameter associated with one of the plurality of sensors in a display window on the screen according to the orientation of the screen. The method includes receiving data from the plurality of sensors, and continuously displaying a video image from an optical imaging device during an intubation of a patient and periodically displaying on a portion of the screen a display window including a value of the parameter according to the data received instead of a part of the video image. Setting the template includes setting a frequency of display, a size, or a color for the parameter.

  • Patent number: 11298488
Abstract: A method of approximating a position of an oxygen mask during a procedure includes detecting a presence of the oxygen mask based on a signal from a sensor or through an observation through an optical imaging device; determining whether the oxygen mask is close to or on a patient for supplying oxygen to the patient; detecting a removal of the oxygen mask from the patient to stop supplying oxygen to the patient; initiating a desaturation timer in response to the sensor or the optical imaging device detecting the removal of the oxygen mask from the patient; and operating an image display device to display a parameter for the oxygen desaturation timer.

  • Patent number: 11299093
Abstract: Techniques for using beam-formed acoustic notifications for pedestrian notification are described. Computing device(s) can receive sensor data associated with an object in an environment of a vehicle. The computing device(s) can determine first data for emitting a first beam of acoustic energy via speaker(s) of an acoustic array associated with the vehicle, and second data for emitting a second beam of acoustic energy via speakers of the acoustic array. The computing device(s) can cause the speaker(s) to emit the first beam in a direction of the object at a first time and the second beam in the direction of the object at a second time. Directions of propagation of the first beam and the second beam are offset so that the object can localize the source the acoustic notification, thereby localizing the vehicle in the environment.

  • Publication number: 20210354313
Abstract: Systems and methods of clearing clogs in nibs used for vacuum retrieval of dispensable units are described. For example, a system may include a container having a side surface, a base, and a protrusion. To facilitate dislodging debris from the nib, the nib may be positioned into contact with a protrusion in a volume at least partially defined by the side surface and the base. Further, or instead, because the contact between the nib and the protrusion occurs within the volume, the systems and methods of the present disclosure may increase the likelihood of collecting debris that has been removed from the nib.

  • Patent number: 11027648
Abstract: A vehicle computing system may implement techniques to dynamically adjust a volume and/or frequency of a sound emitted from a vehicle to warn an object (e.g., dynamic object) of a potential conflict with the vehicle. The techniques may include determining a baseline noise level and/or frequencies proximate to the object. The baseline noise level and/or frequencies may be determined based on an identification of one or more noise generating objects in the environment. The vehicle computing system may determine the volume and/or a frequency of the sound based in part on the baseline noise level and/or frequencies, an urgency of the warning, a probability of conflict between the vehicle and the object, a speed of the object, etc.
