  • Publication number: 20240127593
Abstract: A plurality of on-road vehicles moving along streets of a city, while utilizing onboard cameras for autonomous driving functions, are bound to capture, over time, random images of various city objects such as pedestrians, vehicles, building and other structures. Images of a certain city object may be captured by many of the vehicles at various times while passing by that object, thereby resulting in a corpus of imagery data containing various random images and other representations of that certain object. Per each of at least some of the city objects appearing more than once in the corpus of imagery data, appearances are detected and linked, and then analyzed and processed to result in representations and other data sets and types having a better descriptive accuracy in conjunction with the city object. The data sets having a better descriptive accuracy may then be used to reach certain conclusions or facilitate actions.

Per each of at least some of the city objects appearing more than once in the corpus of imagery data, appearances are detected and linked, and then analyzed to reveal behavioral/descriptive models associated with that city object and with interactions of the object with other objects. The models are then used to detect a recent emerging pattern that is then used to determine an appropriate service action.

  • Publication number: 20230192143
Abstract: Systems and methods for delivering packages and consumer items using a plurality of package containers acting as lockers for the items, in which the plurality of package containers are transported between delivery locations by at least one on-road vehicle operative to straddle-over and grab any of the package containers, carry the package containers from one delivery location to another, and release/straddle-off the package containers at delivery locations. Some of the package containers may include multiple lockers, in which case the on-road vehicle transports and releases a package container in a first location, and while the package container awaits an item to be picked up from one of its lockers, the on-road vehicle continues on its way to handle other package containers. When the item is finally picked-up from the locker, the on-road vehicle may return, grab the package container and move it to another location or back to a warehouse.

  • Patent number: 11599845
Abstract: Methods and systems for autonomously delivering consumer items in disposable packages, in which the disposable package, with the consumer item inside, are carried under a wheel robot using a grabbing mechanism that holds the package under the wheel robot. The wheel robot straddles over the package to allow the grabbing mechanism access to the package during a loading process, and then straddles off the package at a delivery location after the grabbing mechanism releases the package with the consumer item inside. Releasing of the package can be done by lowering the package to the ground in a controlled manner, or by simply releasing the package above ground thereby dropping the package.

  • Patent number: 11206375
Abstract: Systems and methods for analyzing past events by identifying and delivering specific imagery data that was collected and stored locally by a plurality of on-road vehicles. A plurality of on-road vehicles capture visual records of areas surrounding locations visited by the vehicles, in which the visual records are stored locally onboard the vehicles, thereby resulting in a corpus of imagery data that is stored distributively onboard the vehicles. Upon a request to analyze a past event associated with a certain location and a certain time, the system finds and retrieves from the vehicles those of visual records that were captured by the respective vehicles at about said certain time and in vicinity of said certain location. The visual records found and retrieved are used by the system to analyze the past event and to determine additional times and locations that may be relevant for further analysis the past event.

  • Publication number: 20210390292
Abstract: A plurality of on-road vehicles moving along streets of a city, while utilizing onboard cameras for autonomous driving functions, are bound to capture, over time, random images of various city objects such as structures and street signs. Images of a certain city object may be captured by many of the vehicles at various times while passing by that object, thereby resulting in a corpus of imagery data containing various random images and other representations of that certain object. Per each of at least some of the city objects appearing more than once in the corpus of imagery data, appearances are detected and linked, and then analyzed to uncover behaviors associated with that city object, thereby eventually, over time, revealing various city dynamics associated with many city objects.

  • Patent number: 11138418
Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking persons by utilizing imagery data captured by a plurality of on-road vehicles. A large number of different persons appear in a corpus of imagery data collectively captured by a plurality of on-road vehicles. An initial and limited-accuracy model of one of the persons is used to search and detect visual occurrences of that person in the corpus of imagery data, thereby starting to track that person, in which such search is limited at first to a confined geo-temporal range, in order to limit the number of different persons over which the initial and limited-accuracy model has to search and detect that person. When the visual occurrences of that person are found, a better model can be constructed, which can now be used to expand the geo-temporal range over which yet additional visual occurrences of that person are found and used to better track that person.

  • Patent number: 11046230
Abstract: Methods and systems for autonomously altering shape and functionality of on-road vehicles. An on-road autonomous vehicle, which is currently integrated with a first object and thus having a respective certain functional shape, performs a respective certain function. A request is obtained to alter functionality of the on-road vehicle, which consequently releases autonomously the first object, self drives to a location of a second object, and self-integrates with the second object by straddling-over and grabbing the second object, thus switching to a different functional shape and consequently accomplishing said alteration of functionality.

  • Publication number: 20200084357
Abstract: Camera systems and methods that convert a standard digital camera for use as an adaptive hyperspectral filter (AHSF) camera for adaptive spectral or hyperspectral imaging by adapting a camera output based on camera input conditions. In an embodiment, an AHSF camera is adapted to process spectral or hyperspectral images from a spectral/hyperspectral camera such that the AHSF camera outputs M spectral bands that have the highest energy.
