  • Patent number: 9185541
Abstract: Systems and methods of determining wireless data usage are provided. Wireless data usage of a wireless device on a first network of a first network operator is determined. A message indicating a performance of a handover of the wireless device from the first network to a second network of a second network operator is received and the wireless data usage of the wireless device on the second network is determined based on the message received.

  • Patent number: 9125167
Abstract: A system and method of paging a wireless device in a communication network is provided. A paging request from a first network for a first wireless device can be received at a paging node in communication with a first network and a second network. A paging message for the first wireless device can be generated at the paging node based on the paging request. The paging message can further comprise an identifier of the first network. The paging message can be broadcast to a plurality of wireless device, the plurality of wireless devices comprising the first wireless device and at least one second wireless device associated with the second network. A paging response can be received from the first wireless device based on the paging message.

  • Patent number: 8964614
Abstract: A method and system to manage idle mode operation of a communication device are disclosed. The method includes receiving from the communication device a request to enter idle mode comprising a request to enable automatic renewal of an internet protocol (IP) address currently assigned to the communication device, transmitting, to an IP address allocation unit which allocated the IP address to the communication device, the idle mode request, receiving, from the IP address allocation unit, an idle mode response comprising an IP lease update acknowledgement associated with the idle mode request, transmitting, to the communication device, the idle mode response, enabling automatic renewal of the IP address, configuring an idle mode timer, and transmitting to the IP address allocation unit, an IP lease update request corresponding to the IP address, when the idle mode timer expires and the communication device is in idle mode.

  • Patent number: 8954032
Abstract: A method, system and medium are provided for accounting for shared-network scenarios in a carrier-aggregation network using billing identifiers. A base station within the network establishes a wireless-telecommunications link with a mobile station associated with a first provider within the network. The base station communicates a billing identifier associated with the base station to the first provider. The billing identifier indicates a type of shared-network scenario associated with the base station. The billing identifier is used by the provider to determine billing information for the mobile station.

  • Patent number: 8301780
Abstract: A client-based solution for seamless access to applications across networks is agnostic to the inter-network mix of application architectures with or without IMS. In one embodiment, the presence of an added layer of intelligence effectively traverses and is agnostic to the various standards layers.

  • Patent number: 8301734
Abstract: A client-based solution for seamless access to applications across networks is agnostic to the inter-network mix of application architectures with or without IMS. In one embodiment, an application client registers in either an integrated mode or a standalone mode based whether an application availability notification is received within a predetermined period of time.

  • Patent number: 8055262
Abstract: Several embodiments of an IMS communications network are disclosed. In one embodiment, the network comprises a plurality of dispatch application servers (DAS), an S-CSCF, and an event notification server. The S-CSCF is adapted to receive an IMS registration request from a dispatch client, authenticate the registration request, send a registration confirmation to the dispatch client, and send a notification indicating the registration of the dispatch client to an event notification server. The event notification server is adapted to receive the notification from the S-CSCF, select a DAS, and send a notification to the selected DAS indicating an assignment to provide dispatch service to the dispatch client. In another embodiment, the registration notification to the event notification server is sent from the dispatch client, instead of the S-CSCF.

  • Patent number: 4136647
Abstract: A rotary device particularly useful as a rotary engine comprises a cylinder having two (or more) pairs of axially displaceable pistons, the pistons of each pair being movable towards and away from each other to define an expansible and contractable chamber therebetween. Each chamber includes fuel intake openings, exhaust openings, and spark plugs. The inner surface of the cylinder, and the outer surface of the pistons, include cooperable cam and follower means such that the displacement of the two pistons in each pair towards and away from each other also imparts a rotary motion to the pistons, the side walls of the pistons being formed with gear teeth coupling the pistons to a rotary output shaft.
