  • Publication number: 20230328702
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive from a network entity a message indicating one or more sets of parameters for a set of carriers supported by the UE, the one or more sets of parameters indicating communication parameters for communications via the set of carriers. The UE may monitor for a field of a control message based on the message. A field size of the field may be based on the sets of parameters, and a respective value for the field may indicate a respective set of parameters of the sets of parameters for one or more carriers of the set of carriers. Based on receiving a control message and decoding the associated field, the UE may communicate via at least one carrier of the set of carriers using the respective set of parameters for the at least one carrier.

  • Patent number: 11785478
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform beam sweeping for a physical uplink channel within time domain windows or across time domain windows based on a time domain window index. In cases where frequency hopping is enabled, the UE may transmit uplink repetitions and demodulation reference signals (DMRSs) across two frequency hops during two consecutive time domain windows using a first transmit beam, and may then follow up with transmissions across two frequency hops during the next two consecutive time domain windows using a second transmit beam. Or, the UE may transmit uplink repetitions and DMRSs in a first frequency hop with first and second transmit beams during two respective consecutive time domain windows, and may transmit in a second frequency hop with the first and second transmit beams during the next two respective consecutive time domain windows.

  • Publication number: 20230319614
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A network entity may schedule uplink resource allocations across multiple cells by defining selection criteria for the uplink resource allocations in which to transmit a channel state information (CSI) report. For example, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control signal from the network entity, which may schedule the UE to transmit the CSI report in an uplink resource allocation on a component carrier in a carrier aggregation configuration. In some examples, the UE may transmit the CSI report by multiplexing the CSI report in uplink resource allocations on multiple component carriers. In some examples, the CSI report may be transmitted in an uplink resource allocation on a smallest component carrier index. Accordingly, the defined selection criteria may allow for more efficient procedures at the UE, which may result in increased efficiency and decreased overhead.

  • Publication number: 20230318747
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support monitoring for intra-slot and intra-slot-group control channel repetitions. The UE may receive a message indicating a respective set of parameters for a first search space set and a second search space set, an indication that the first and second search space sets are linked, and a respective bitmap for each of the search space sets, where the bitmaps include a same quantity of bits. The bitmaps may indicate a quantity of slots and a location of the slots within a group of slots in which a respective search space set exists within the group of slots. As such, the UE may monitor the first and second search space sets based on the respective sets of parameters and the respective bitmaps (e.g., using monitoring occasions associated with each search space set linked based on the bitmaps).

  • Patent number: 11778654
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for handling hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes with discontinuous reception (DRX) operations. A user equipment (UE) may use timers to maintain an ON duration in DRX. The UE may receive, via downlink control information (DCI), an indication of a feedback transmission opportunity (TxOP) for a HARQ process. The UE may activate a timer at the end of the TxOP regardless of whether the UE transmits feedback in the TxOP to ensure that the UE remains active. In some implementations, a base station may provide the UE with multiple opportunities to transmit a feedback message. The UE may reactivate a timer after each feedback TxOP for the same HARQ process or may activate the timer after the first feedback TxOP and may refrain from activating the timer after subsequent feedback TxOPs for the HARQ process.

  • Publication number: 20230309085
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which network nodes may configure linked search space (SS) sets that provide multiple instances of control channel communications. A beam configuration, or transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state, for a downlink transmission scheduled by instances of the control channel communications may be determined based on a control resource set (CORESET) of one or more of the different SS sets. A first network node may decode a first control channel communication from one or more instances of the control channel communications, the first control channel communication indicating a resource allocation for a first downlink communication. The first network node may determine whether one or more TCI states are applied to the first downlink communication based on one or more CORESETs associated with the first control channel communication, and receive the first downlink communication based on the determined one or more TCI states.
