  • Publication number: 20210006669
Abstract: An information processing apparatus which makes it possible to make communication settings with ease. A mobile terminal as the information processing apparatus includes a Bluetooth controller that causes a Bluetooth communication section to receive a packet, a CPU that generates a device list, based on the packet, a display section that displays the device list. The CPU selects a device from the device list based on a received radio field intensity of the packet or selects a device from the device list based on a selection operation by a user. The mobile terminal further includes a wireless LAN controller that cause a wireless LAN communication section to transmit data to the selected device.

  • Patent number: 10237426
Abstract: A communication device communicates with an external apparatus including first and second Near Field Communication (NFC) circuits. The communication device includes a display configured to display information, a third NFC circuit, and a controller configured to cause display of first and second screens that prompt a user to carry out an operation for starting NFC communication. The first screen is displayed in a state in which the third NFC circuit is not permitted to perform specified communication with the first NFC circuit but is permitted to perform specified communication with the second NFC circuit, and the second screen is displayed in a state in which the third NFC circuit is permitted to perform specified communication with the first NFC circuit but is not permitted to perform specified communication with the second NFC circuit.

  • Patent number: 8928921
Abstract: A print server receives an email, which has been transmitted from a mobile terminal device and in which a printer is designated as the print output destination for an attached file to the email, from a mail server, stores the received email in a storage unit, and executes print processing of print data for the attached file to the email. The print server manages the email and identification information about a reply mail in association with each other and transmits the reply mail to the mobile terminal device. The mobile terminal device provides a reprint instruction for the attached file by replying the email. The print server performs print processing of the attached file to an email managed in association with the identification information about the reply mail included in the replied email.

  • Patent number: 8462364
Abstract: An image processing apparatus which, when an error occurs during communication with a host computer, gives a higher priority to reconnection to the host computer connected at the time of occurrence of the error than to connection to another host computer. A CPU of the apparatus accepts processing requests from the host computers. When accepting a processing request from a host computer, the CPU causes the apparatus to connect to the host computer. If occurrence of an error is detected during communication with the host computer, the CPU controls the connection such that reconnection to the host computer connected at the time of occurrence of the error is given priority over connection to another host computer.

  • Publication number: 20100179965
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an image processing apparatus which can change the access authority for a folder based on the restricted functions for each user, even if the user operates a folder which a restricted function is associated with. When an operation on a hot folder is received from a user, the present invention determines whether that user has an access authority for the hot folder. If it is determined that the user does have an access authority, it is further determined whether there are any functions which the operating user cannot use among the functions associated with the hot folder. If it is determined that there is/are function (s) which the user cannot use, the access authority for that hot folder is changed, and an error message to that effect is sent to the user.
