    Abstract: Provided is a cell preserving vessel which is protected against damage during storage. The cell preserving vessel 1 includes: a vessel body 10 which is made of a flexible resin member and has a cell accommodating part 11; a cell introducing tube 20 which is connected to the vessel body 10 and through which cells are introduced into the cell accommodating part 11; and a pair of tube protecting parts 40 which are arranged to hold the cell introducing tube 20 therebetween and which protect a vicinity of a joined portion of the cell introducing tube 20, the joined portion being joined to the vessel body 10. The tube protecting parts 40 are preferably constituted by sheet members 50 and 60 that form the vessel body 10.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a job acquirer that acquires a print job; a photoconductor including a surface on which a toner image is to be formed; an electrifying member that electrifies the photoconductor; an exposure member that exposes the photoconductor; a developing member that supplies toner to the photoconductor; a cleaner that cleans the photoconductor; and a controller connected to the job acquirer to control the image forming apparatus, wherein the controller computes a first non-toner region that is provided on the surface of the photoconductor when the toner image is formed on the photoconductor, the first non-toner region not containing toner in a longitudinal direction of the surface of the photoconductor, and the controller causes the exposure member and the developing member to form the toner image on the photoconductor and to form a set of toner patches in the first non-toner region.

    Abstract: A fixing device is for fixing a toner image on a recording medium an image forming apparatus. The fixing device includes a fixing belt, a heating member, a nip area member, a pressing member, and a protrusion. The fixing belt is held by the heating member and the nip area member. The pressing member presses the fixing belt against the nip area member while being rotationally driven. The toner image is fixed on the recording medium in a nip area where the pressing member presses the fixing belt against the nip area member. The protrusion is in contact with the inner surface of the fixing belt. In the fixing device, the fixing belt is in contact with small areas only other than the heating area and the nip area to reduce the heat loss.
