  • Patent number: 8403449
Abstract: A table made of a planar member has a suction groove for sucking and holding a recording medium on a surface thereof. A part of the sucking groove is perforated to form a suction hole. The suction hole is connected to a vacuum pump. The table includes three position determining pins that are in contact with two mutually orthogonal sides of a recording medium. The position determining pins are configured to ascend and descend by driving of an air cylinder between a descending position in which an upper end of the position determining pins is lower than a surface of the table and a position determining position in which the upper end of the position determining pins is higher than the surface of the recording medium mounted on the table. It is therefore made possible to provide an image recording apparatus capable of executing highly accurate image recording by preventing deformation of the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 5808774
Abstract: In an optical beam scanning apparatus in which an optical beam from a light source impinges upon a deflecting system and a deflected optical beam from said deflecting system scans a surface-to-be-scanned through a scanning lens in a main scanning direction, with a curvature of image surface correction method of the present invention, curvature of image surface is reduced without improving the surface accuracy of the scanning lens. A lens holder (14) is freely movable on an optical base (3) along a guide (15). When an adjustment screw (16) is manipulated, the lens holder (14) is moved so that a collimator lens (12) is moved along an optical axis (OA) and positioned. As the collimator lens (12) is moved, the degree of parallel of an optical beam which is emitted toward a galvanometer (30) is changed and the shape of an image surface is adjusted, so that the image surface is positioned within the depth of focus of the optical beam scanning apparatus over an entire scanning range.

  • Patent number: 5241330
Abstract: An image recording apparatus modulates a laser beam based on an image signal and a reference clock, and then controls a polygon mirror to irradiate the laser beam on a surface of a photosensitive material. A reference clock generating circuit generates a reference clock having a frequency in proportion to a main scanning speed of a beam spot which is changed during each scanning due to a characteristic of an f.multidot..theta. lens. The reference clock generating circuit includes a line memory which has a bit per address and stores a relationship between an incident angle .theta. of the laser beam on the f.multidot..theta.

  • Patent number: 5182668
Abstract: A first image-forming system includes first and second lens systems which are disposed from a light source to a deflector respectively. The first lens system has a positive power along a second direction so as to converge a diverging light beam from the light source onto the deflector with respect to the second direction. With respect to a first direction being perpendicular to the second direction, the first lens system has zero or a negative power while the second lens system has a positive power so that the focal point of the first image-forming system is located at the light source. Thus, a collimated light beam in the first direction from the first image-forming system is directed to the deflector.

  • Patent number: 5148304
Abstract: A light beam passing through a first image-forming system is deflected by a deflector. The deflected light impinges upon a second image-forming system which comprises a scanning lens and an anamorphic lens. The scanning lens and the anamorphic lens are disposed in this order from the deflector side. The light beam passing through the anamorphic lens is finally focused on a surface to be scanned with no curvature of field.
