The metal roofing material includes a front substrate 2 made of a metal sheet and including a body portion 20 formed in a box shape; a back substrate 3 arranged on the back side of the front substrate 2 so as to cover an opening of the body portion 20; a core material 4 filled between the body portion 20 and the back substrate 3; and at least one plate reinforcing member 5 that is embedded in the core material 4 at a position closer to the back substrate 3 than a top plate of the body portion 20 or that is disposed in contact with the outer surface of the back substrate 3.
