  • Patent number: 9464709
Abstract: A transmission includes a transmission mechanism. The transmission mechanism includes a planetary gear mechanism and a fixing element. A ring gear is provided with a first gear meshing with an output gear on an output member and a second gear meshing with a plurality of pinion gears. The output gear and the first gear include helical gears meshing with each other. The second gear and the plurality of pinion gears include helical gears meshing with each other. Helix angles of the output gear and the first gear and helix angles of the second gear and the plurality of pinion gears are set so that a thrust force generated in a case where the output gear and the first gear rotate and a thrust force generated in a case where the second gear and the plurality of pinion gears rotate are directed towards each other.

  • Patent number: 7846049
Abstract: A belt (metal V belt) has a number of elements held by a ring in an endless shape and aligned in a peripheral direction of the ring. The element includes a head portion, a neck portion and a body portion. The body portion has a V face brought into contact with a drive pulley and a driven pulley and left and right locking edge portions wrapped with the ring and disposed on an inner peripheral side of the ring. The head portion is disposed on an outer peripheral side of the ring and having an ear portion extended to left and to right sides to be opposed to the locking edge portion. The neck portion integrally connects the body portion and the head portion. Front faces of the ear portion, the neck portion and the locking edge portion of the element are formed with contact portions capable of bringing the contiguous elements into contact with each other.

  • Patent number: 6440025
Abstract: Each of metal elements 32 includes an element body portion 34 and an element head portion 36 on radially inner and outer sides of left and right ring slots 35 into which metal ring assemblies 31 are fitted, respectively. The metal elements 32 can be brought into contact with one another at inner contact surfaces 38 and outer contact surfaces 39 each of which are formed on the element body portion 34 and the element head portion 36, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6033335
Abstract: A ring gear support member is supported radially immovably on the outer circumference of an input shaft through a ball bearing. A brake hub of a reverse brake, as supported by the ring gear support member, is made movable in the circumferential direction relative to the ring gear support member and is urged to a center position by a coil spring. When the reverse brake is applied to couple the ring gear support member unrotatably to a casing, the brake hub is supported through the coil spring by the ring gear support member. As a result, the meshing vibration, as generated at the meshing portion between pinions and a ring gear, can be prevented from being transmitted to the casing through the brake hub, thereby reducing noise.
