    Abstract: A plunger water-soluble lubricant for die-casting includes a component (a) being one or more than one of compounds selected from the group consisting of a mineral oil, a synthetic hydrocarbon, a grease, and a fatty acid ester; a component (b) being one or more than one of compounds selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal salt of a higher fatty acid and an alkali metal salt of an aliphatic hydroxy acid; a component (c) being one or more than one of compounds selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal salt of a synthetic sulfonic acid and an alkali metal salt of a petroleum sulfonic acid; particulate silica; and water. This water-soluble lubricant for die-casting has a low burnability (flammability), and exerts an excellent lubricating property without lowering the productivity and worsening the working environment.
