  • Patent number: 7248016
Abstract: A motor controller including an inverter including plural switching elements that are subjected to PWM control to generate sine waves of plural phases, a motor including a stator coil supplied with the sine waves thus generated so that rotational magnetic field is generated in the stator coil, and a rotor that is rotationally driven by the action of the rotational magnetic field generated by the stator coil, a storage unit for detecting the sine waves of the respective phases generated in the inverter and storing a correction amount for each phase that is calculated on the basis of the detection result so that the sine waves of the respective phases are coincident with one another and a correcting unit for correcting a PWM signal for carrying out the PWM control on the switching elements on the basis of the correction amount thus calculated.

  • Patent number: 4658788
Abstract: In an ignition system for an internal combustion engine, a signal generator generates a given ac signal in synchronism with the rotation of the engine and a waveform reshaping circuit reshapes the waveform of the ac signal from the signal generator thus generating a pulse signal. An ignition timing control circuit is responsive to the pulse signal from the waveform reshaping circuit to control the timing of ignition of an ignition coil in which a primary current is switched on and off in accordance with the pulse signal.

  • Patent number: 4649888
Abstract: In an apparatus for controlling the energization time of an ignition coil of an internal combustion engine, a desired ignition timing is computed in accordance with a load and rotation speed of the engine and an energization starting time of the ignition coil is computed in accordance with the ignition timing. The energization starting time is retarded in accordance with the primary current through the ignition coil and the energization time of the ignition coil is reduced. The primary current flow through the ignition coil is interrupted at the ignition timing.

  • Patent number: 4519038
Abstract: In response to a predetermined engine crankshaft position a reference pulse is generated having a leading edge advanced with respect to that predetermined position as a function of the rotational speed of the crankshaft. At low engine speeds the reference pulse is directly used as the ignition current. A start-of-dwell-time data word is derived in response to the trailing edge of the reference pulse and an end-of-dwell-time data word is derived in response to the leading edge of a subsequent reference pulse. These data words are used for engine operations at constant high speeds to advance the beginning and end of the dwell time of ignition current by an amount commensurate with an increase in engine speed. When the engine is rapidly accelerated the dwell time is started in response to the leading edge of the reference pulse and terminated when the end-of-dwell-time data word is decremented to zero.
