  • Patent number: 6215460
Abstract: A head-mounted image display apparatus includes optical visual units mounted on a laterally disposed shaft and adjustable so as to be movable toward and away from each other for establishing a correct eye spacing for a user. LCD display panels are mounted within the optical visual units so as to be vertically movable while ocular lenses onto which images displayed by the LCDs are projected via an obliquely arranged mirror are positionally fixed relative the eyes of the user such that focus adjustment will not cause image dropout and so that focus and eye spacing may be established independently of each other. Sliders provided for effecting focus and eye spacing adjustment are mounted such that frictional force is applied thereto for providing smooth but sure movement of the sliders so that a set position of the sliders may be reliably maintained. The sliders may be mounted via self a lubricating mounting to improve adjustment smoothness and slide characteristics.

  • Patent number: 6084555
Abstract: In order to facilitate pupil distance adjustment, diopter adjustment and convergence adjustment, in a spectacle type display arrangement which utilizes of a pair of image generating units for projecting images on left and right eyes respectively, a pair of shafts are installed in a housing by way of a frame, and a pair of lens and mirror units are reciprocally mounted on the shafts so as to movable toward and away from each other. A slide plate which forms part of a backlight is disposed on the frame so as to be slidable in the fore-and-aft direction. A pair of shafts are disposed one above the other at the upper and lower portions of the backlight. A pair of LCD holders which form a part of the pair of image source means are supported on the shafts so as to be laterally movable toward and away from each other.

  • Patent number: 5841466
Abstract: In order to give restriction to use of apparatus by children or minor persons or the like, a password is previously registered and when the power switch is turned on, a user inputs the password from the second remote controller. The controller controls the apparatus to turn on the image input switch SW only when the inputted password is matched with the registered password. Moreover, the controller displays, when the predetermined period has passed from initiation of image display, a warning for health of eyes on the liquid crystal display means and continues image display only when the will for continuous display such as repeated input of the password is indicated.

  • Patent number: 5347396
Abstract: A photovideo camera takes visual images formed on negative films and/or positive films to obtain video signals corresponding to the visual images. The camera unit of the photovideo camera can be focused after determining a desired angle of view by zooming, without changing the desired angle of view. In focusing the lens unit, only the master lens of the focusing lens system of the lens unit is moved.

  • Patent number: 5218439
Abstract: A photo video camera device for photographing a visible image on a negative film and/or a positive film developed. The photo video camera device includes a lens barrel, a solid-state image pickup device fixed to the lens barrel, a rotating mechanism for rotating the lens barrel with the solid-state image pickup device, and a supporting member for supporting the lens barrel with the solid-state image pickup device so that the lens barrel and the solid-state image pickup device are rotatable together relative to the supporting member by the rotating mechanism. Accordingly, there occurs no misalignment of axes between a lens system retained in the lens barrel and the solid-state image pickup device, and no dust or the like sticks to the lens system and the solid-state image pickup device.
