The determination unit determines whether the printing sheet is suitable for overlap conveyance, and if the determination unit determines that the printing sheet is unsuitable for overlap conveyance, the conveyance control unit conveys the succeeding sheet while the succeeding sheet does not overlap the preceding sheet.
