  • Patent number: 8389711
Abstract: Provided is a pharmaceutical composition for treating cancer and asthma. The object can be solved by a pharmaceutical composition comprising a siRNA molecule that directs cleavage of mRNA of mucin subtype 5 AC via RNA interference, or an antibody against mucin subtype 5AC as an active ingredient. According to the pharmaceutical composition of the present invention, diseases involving an overexpression of mucin subtype 5 AC can be treated efficiently. In particular, the pharmaceutical composition comprising a siRNA molecule of the present invention is effectively used in the treatment of a cancer, particularly pancreatic cancer. In addition, the siRNA or the antibody of the present invention can inhibit the expression or function of MUC5AC, thereby preventing or treating the symptoms of asthma effectively.

  • Publication number: 20120122126
Abstract: An antibody which recognizes PSK is provided. The object of the present invention is solved by an antibody characterized by recognizing PSK and inhibiting anti-tumor activity of PSK. In particular, the inhibition of anti-tumor activity of PSK is an inhibition of cytotoxic activity or an inhibition of anti-TGF-?1 activity of PSK. A physiologically active PSK can, using the present invention, be detected high-accurately and quantitatively. For example, the present invention is useful for detecting and measuring the physiologically active PSK contained in a medicine or a food and drink, and for analyzing pharmacokinetics after administrating the physiologically active PSK.

  • Patent number: 7921305
Abstract: Even if a portable information terminal is lost or stolen, a third party is prevented from illegally browsing data stored in the portable information terminal. When a control signal is received through wireless communication part and when the received control signal is an instruction signal to execute an encryption process on plaintext data stored in data memory, the plaintext data is encrypted and encrypted data is stored in the data memory. Thereafter, erasing part erases the plaintext data stored in the data memory.

  • Patent number: 7180983
Abstract: There is provided a guidance information notification apparatus in a communication network system which enables improvement of convenience to a user by dispensing with a particular operation other than a normal origination operation required when a user obtains a guidance message in an understandable language such as a native language, with a terminal unit, and by enabling the user to receive support from a communication operator of the user's contract network even when a roaming service is provided. If an originator inputs a destination telephone number with a normal origination operation at a mobile telephone set 18, a guidance information notification apparatus 22-1 notifies guidance message information in a language associated with the origination telephone number to the origination mobile telephone set 18.
