  • Patent number: 4812845
Abstract: A running guide system for an automotive vehicle planned for running in a sightseeing area or the like. Special running data including right or left turn, passage through a tunnel, running in a predetermined direction and passage on a slope are stored in a cassette tape together with distance data representing the distance from a start point in the form of a plurality of check point data. By collation of the running distance data actually measured and the special running condition data with the stored data, the automobile is guided audibly or visually. Geographical data or sightseeing data are also recorded in the cassette tape and reproduced in voice from time to time. When the automobile is displaced from the planned running route, an alarm is issued. When the automobile is restored to the planned running route, the planned running guide is restored.

  • Patent number: 4792907
Abstract: Traveling conditions of a vehicle are detected. A present position of the vehicle is calculated on the basis of the detected vehicle traveling conditions. A memory holds data representing preset reference points located at intersections and at unforked straight roads, data representing whether the respective preset reference points are located at the intersections or at the unforked straight roads, and other data. A target reference point toward which a vehicle is traveling is selected from the preset reference points. When the vehicle passes the target reference point, the calculated vehicle position is forcedly set to the target reference point. A decision is made as to whether or not the target reference point is located at an intersection or at an unforked straight road.

  • Patent number: 4777618
Abstract: The invention provides an arrangement for time correlating a computer's internal information with its input and output signals. The internal information is stored in a storage device along with time data indicative of the time at which the internal information was read. This time data is used to correlate the internal information, when read from storage, with the input and output signals. The invention also provides a more general arrangement for producing logic signals. Data for producing logic signals are stored in a memory. This data includes a transition time and a corresponding logic level after the transition. Logic signals are generated and "forced" to the logic level called for by the data read from memory. This allows logic signals to be produced from little data. This general scheme is applied to an arrangement for recording and reproducing digital and analogue signals.

  • Patent number: 4564917
Abstract: In a speed display device of the numerical display type which comprises a speed sensor for producing an electric speed signal indicative of a travel speed of the vehicle, and an electric display responsive to the speed signal for providing a numerical display indicative of the travel speed of the vehicle, the improvement comprises an electric control device responsive to the speed signal for successively enlarging the size of the numerical display in accordance with rise of the speed level. Alternatively, the electric control device may be arranged to be responsive to the speed signal for successively inclining the shape of the numerical display in accordance with rise of the speed level.
