  • Patent number: 6810952
Abstract: A refrigerant-fluid circuit has a compressor, a condenser serving as heat sink and a first evaporator serving as cold source. The circuit also has a second evaporator and the refrigerant fluid is made to flow either only in the first evaporator, or in the two evaporators, depending on the cooling power required.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 12, 2001
Date of Patent: November 2, 2004
    Assignee: Valeo Climatisation
Inventors: Mounir Ben Fredj, Bruno Hamery, Jean-Luc Thuez, Noureddine Khelifa

  • Publication number: 20010014369
Abstract: A complex film containing at least one functional material making it possible to modify the optical properties of the film between a first, transparent state and a second, reflecting state is deposited on at least some of the interior fittings of the passenger compartment of a motor-vehicle, which makes it possible to isolate the fittings covered over with the film from solar radiation in hot weather. The change of state is controlled electrically. The film can preferably be put into a third, opaque state, which makes it possible to accentuate the heating-up of the fittings under the effect of solar radiation in cold weather.

  • Patent number: 6203420
Abstract: A motor-vehicle heating and/or air-conditioning device has an air intake chamber (12) with an inlet (14) for outside air (AE), an inlet (16) for recirculated air (AR) and a flap (18) for selectively controlling the inlets. A motor-driven fan unit (28) downstream of the air intake chamber has a casing (30) accommodating a centrifugal turbine (34) driven by a motor (48). The fan unit takes in air flow axially then delivers it tangentially. The. combination formed by the outside-air inlet (14) and the recirculated-air inlet (16) extends on either side of an arbitrary plane (P) passing through the axis of rotation (50) of the motor (48), the latter being located on the same side as the air inlets (12) and (14), which makes it possible to reduce the axial space taken up.
