  • Publication number: 20240127591
Abstract: A video monitoring system includes a video monitoring wall that is configured to display a plurality of video streams. One or more cameras are disposed relative to the video monitoring wall. One or more directional speakers are disposed relative to the video monitoring wall such that each of the one or more directional speakers is directed toward a corresponding location on the viewing side of the video monitoring wall. A controller is configured to identify that a desired action should be taken by a particular operator, based at least in part on the one or more video streams assigned to the particular operator. The controller is configured to analyze one or more local video streams from the cameras to ascertain a current location of the particular operator and to direct an audio message to the current location of the operator using one or more of the directional speakers.

  • Publication number: 20240048670
Abstract: Methods and systems for resolving one or more faults in a security camera include installing an Auto-Executable Function (AEF) on the security camera. The AEF causes the controller to backup the set of user defined configuration settings to a memory of the security camera, reset the security camera back to the set of default configuration settings, reboot the security camera, and restore the set of user defined configuration settings. In many cases, this will resolve many unresolved faults within video camera and place the video camera back online. When this does not resolve a fault, the AEF creates a diagnostic report, wirelessly transmits the diagnostic report to a mobile device of a user, the mobile device identifies a software patch for resolving the fault, and the software patch is uploaded and installed on the security camera.

  • Publication number: 20230377338
Abstract: Improving performance of a video analytics algorithm includes obtaining desired video parameters for achieving a desired accuracy level, and identifying one or more of the video parameters of the video stream. One or more of the video parameters are compared with a corresponding one of the desired video parameters to ascertain whether one or more of the video parameters diverge from the corresponding one of the desired video parameters by at least a threshold amount. When one or more of the video parameters diverge from the corresponding one of the desired video parameters by at least the threshold amount, one or more of the video parameters are adjusted toward the corresponding one of the desired video parameters.

  • Patent number: 11783652
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring occupant health within a building. An illustrative method may include storing one or more illness behavioral models, capturing and storing over time a history of behaviors for each of a plurality of occupants of the building, identifying one or more current behaviors of a particular one of the plurality of occupants, determining whether the current behaviors of the occupant match one or more of the behaviors defined in the one or more illness behavioral models, determining whether the current behaviors of the occupant deviate from behaviors captured and stored in the history of behaviors for the occupant, and issuing an alert directing that the occupant undergo additional health screening when the current behaviors of the occupant match one or more of the behaviors defined in the illness behavioral models or deviate from behaviors captured and stored in the history of behaviors for the occupant.

  • Publication number: 20230319415
Abstract: A method for controlling a PTZ camera having a controllable FOV includes detecting a first detection event by a first detector located at a first location that is along a first path in a monitored region. In response to the first detection event, the PTZ camera is automatically controlled such that the FOV of the PTZ camera includes at least part of the first detection region along the first path in the monitored region. A second detection event is detected by a second detector located at a second location that is along the first path in the monitored region, wherein the second location is spaced from the first location. In response to the second detection event, the PTZ camera is automatically controlled such that the FOV of the PTZ camera includes at least part of the second detection region along the first path in the monitored region.

  • Publication number: 20220351519
Abstract: A method for monitoring a surveillance area includes receiving a plurality of video streams that are captured by a plurality of video cameras in the surveillance area, each of the plurality of video streams capturing one or more objects in the surveillance area that are within a camera field of view (FOV) of the corresponding video camera and from a camera vantage point of the corresponding video camera. A vantage point transformation is applied to each of two or more objects captured in two or more of the plurality of video streams, the vantage point transformation transforming a view of each of the two or more objects from the camera vantage point of the corresponding video camera to a common vantage point. The transformed view of each of the two or more objects from the common vantage point is rendered on a display.

  • Publication number: 20220335797
Abstract: A surveillance system includes fixed video cameras and mobile security devices. Each mobile security device includes a mobile video camera, a memory, a transceiver and a controller that is configured to receive instructions from a surveillance system controller to fly to a particular location at which an incident is believed to be occurring and to instruct the mobile video camera to capture video of the incident. In some cases, the controller of the mobile security device is configured to solicit and receive one or more video streams from fixed video cameras that are determined to meet predetermined criteria with respect to the incident, and store the one or more received video streams in the memory. The controller of the mobile security device may subsequently transmit the collected video streams to the surveillance system controller.

  • Publication number: 20210398691
Abstract: Methods and systems for location tracking or maintaining a count of people in a building or space. An illustrative method may include storing a background image of a field of view of a video camera and receiving a video stream from the video camera. Background subtraction may be performed to identify one or more blobs in the field of view of the video camera. The size of the one or more blobs may be compared to an expected size of the blob at a similar distance from the camera. When the size of the blob is greater than the expected size of a person at the determined distance of the corresponding blob by more than a predetermined threshold the blob may be counted as two or more people.

  • Publication number: 20210391089
Abstract: Methods and systems for reducing a risk of spread of an illness in a building. In one example, a method for monitoring a risk of spread of an illness in a building may comprise capturing video of a surveilled area in the building, identifying individuals in the captured video and performing behavior analytics on the individuals identified in the captured video. The behavior analytics may include determining a risky behavior metric that identifies a measure of risky behavior of the individuals identified in the captured video that is based at least in part on a distance between two of the individuals identified in the captured video and a time that the distance between the two of the individuals is below a predetermined distance threshold. An alert may be issued when the risky behavior metric exceeds a risk threshold.
