  • Publication number: 20230244525
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture are disclosed for an XPU-aware dynamic compute scheduling framework. These improve processing of cloud client application pipelines across XPU devices by incorporating memory, machine readable instructions and processor circuitry to execute the functions of: trace an execution of an input model by a graph tracer; build a compute graph based on the trace of the input model; communicate an operational parameter; create a first XPU device assignment to recommend an XPU device to use based on at least one provisioned policy of a system-wide XPU selection policy provider; update the compute graph based on the first XPU device assignment; and send the first XPU device assignment to the devices through a dispatch command.

  • Patent number: 8296554
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, articles, and removable storage devices for pre-boot recovery of a locked computer system. In one instance, the method includes determining on pre-boot whether a removable storage device is attached to a computer system, determining whether the computer system is in a locked state and, if the removable storage device is detected, transferring control to a pre-boot authentication module (PBA) stored on the removable storage device to interact with a manageability engine to restore the computer system from the locked state to an unlocked state. If the removable storage device is not detected, the computer system shuts down if the system is determined to be in the locked state and no other PBA is detected. The computer system comprises a host operating environment and a manageability engine that operates independent of the host operating environment. Other embodiments may also be described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 7733772
Abstract: Dynamic selection of communication links in a mixed network having wired and wireless links. An access point is coupled between at least two stations, with the access point coupled to a first station by a wired link and a wireless link. The access point is coupled to the second station by a wireless link. The first and second stations are coupled by a direct wireless link, and also at least two indirect links passing through the access point. A link selection component on the first station is operative to estimate the capacities of the various links, and to select one of the links for transmitting a bitstream. The link selection component can also dynamically re-select a link for continuing an on-going transmission of a given bitstream.
