  • Publication number: 20240147231
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to techniques for routing application data through a selected network slice based on validation of an application entitlement request. In some examples, an entitlement system may receive an application entitlement request corresponding to an application that is on a user equipment. The entitlement system may validate the authenticity of the application based on the application authenticity information from the entitlement request. The entitlement device may in response to validation of the application entitlement request, send an application entitlement response to the user equipment such that the user equipment selects a network slice to route application data corresponding to the application.

  • Patent number: 10743080
Abstract: An example method is described in which a controller initiates, with a control point, control point discovery for an endpoint managed by the control point. The controller, receives, from the control point, a message in response to the initiation of control point discovery. The message is an Internet Protocol Detail Record (IPDR) message or Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) message that includes registration information of the endpoint. Based on the registration information of the endpoint, the controller determines an association between the control point and the endpoint. This allows the controller to apply a controlling function on the control point when the endpoint accesses a service via the control point.

  • Patent number: 9319273
Abstract: According to an example, a unified policy management system may include a session manager module to establish sessions with policy enforcement points. A notification manager module may receive an event trigger notification from a policy enforcement point via an interface session. A coordination engine may determine whether an event identified from the event trigger notification is to cause a change in policy enforced by another policy enforcement point and facilitate the change via another interface session.

  • Publication number: 20150222710
Abstract: A UPM system may include a session manager module to establish interface sessions with a policy enforcement point (PEP) and a policy decision point (PDP). A notification manager module forward event information received from the PEP to the PDP and receive a policy decision from the PDP. A policy engine may determine, based on the event information, whether to forward the policy decision to the PEP, to ignore the policy decision or to modify the policy decision.
