  • Publication number: 20100253866
Abstract: Each pixel of an LCD display includes a main pixel, a sub-pixel, a resistor, and a third switch. The third switch is used for controlling the charging time of the main pixel and the sub-pixel. A data signal of a main pixel of a previous pixel is utilized to pre-charge the main pixel and the sub-pixel, and then data is transmitted to the sub-pixel and the main pixel. When data transmission to the sub-pixel is ended, the data transmission path to the sub-pixel is switched off, and the data keeps being transmitted only to the main pixel. The LCD panel utilizing this method only needs to add one gate line at each of the top and bottom of the panel to realize the AMVA structure of 8-domain for the LCD panel.

  • Publication number: 20090189880
Abstract: A source driving circuit is provided. The source driving circuit includes a plurality of source drivers, first switches, and second switches. Each transmission line of each source driver is coupled to the first switch and the second switch. In a first period, the first switches are turned on, and the source drivers generate a first driving signal to drive pixels in odd columns of a display panel through the transmission lines and the first switches. In a second period, the second switches are turned on, and the source drivers generate a second driving signal to drive pixels in even columns of the display panel through the transmission lines and the second switches. Therefore, the problem of the prior art that each transmission line of the source driver drives pixels in only one column of the display panel is improved and the hardware cost is greatly decreased.

  • Publication number: 20070057904
Abstract: A multiple scan method for driving a display and a display therewith is provided. The multiple scan method is achieved by alternately driving the active pixels in the display twice or more times for expediting response time of these active pixels to reach the target luminance in the display. The pixels in the display are charged or discharged twice or more times within one frame period. By such design, the response time is shortened and quality for showing motion pictures is significantly improved.

  • Publication number: 20060077199
Abstract: The dynamic level-adjustment compensation circuit includes an analyzing unit, multiple gamma voltage generators and a selector. The analyzing unit is used to analyze the gray-level distribution of the dynamic image signal and output an analysis signal. Each of the gamma voltage generators producing a gamma voltage determined by a gamma characteristic curve. The selector is electrically connected to the analyzing unit and the gamma voltage generators. The selector selects one of the gamma voltage generators according to the analysis signal and the selected gamma voltage generator outputs the corresponding gamma voltage. The gray-level distribution of the dynamic image signal input to a display can be analyzed and then, determined by the analysis result, one of gamma voltage generators is selected to output a gamma voltage driving a display. Accordingly, the image quality can be improved.
