  • Publication number: 20240168196
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for evaluating thicknesses of cobalt-rich crusts on seamounts, which comprises following steps: dividing a study area of cobalt-rich crusts into geological grid units, assigning crust thickness values to geological grid units; obtaining the crust thicknesses of the geological sampling stations in a preset influence range in the adjacent areas based on geological sampling station information; estimating the crust thicknesses in a certain distance range of the stations by a “distance-slope” spatial interpolation method, and through a spatial similarity of a crusts spatial distribution caused by a relationship between the distance and the slope, assigning values to grid units outside adjacent areas and within an influence range of the spatial similarity relationship; assigning values to the geological grid units that failed to obtain crust thickness value through an expected assignment method, and obtaining the crust thicknesses of the study areas.

  • Publication number: 20200187981
Abstract: In an ultrasonic tool-guidance system, an imaging module in a housing includes modules for image and beam processing and beamforming. A transmitter and a receiver connect via a switch to a multi-transducer probe. The housing includes a display for providing real-time ultrasound images. The probe includes a tool-guiding channel through which a tool can be inserted into the body of a patient. The transducers are arranged at an angle laterally around the tool-guiding channel. The angled transducers provide overlapping beams that result in a better quality enhanced image of the center area. The probe is rotatably attached to the housing to allow for easy viewing of the ultrasound images during a procedure. The tool-guiding channel is maintained at a fixed angle with respect to the transducers and the probe to assure that the tool remains in the illuminated area throughout the procedure.

  • Patent number: 6184485
Abstract: A method for solving the problem that the machining accuracy in a corner part or in a circular arc is reduced by the line flexure during the wire-cut electric discharge machining. In the method, the controller of the wire-cut electric discharge machine with a built-in function of measuring error of wire flexure, after the machining, a detection voltage of the machine detects the machined groove. If the wire electrode comes into contact with the workpiece, the short-circuit caused by the wire flexure in the corner part or in a circular arc is detected, and then the compensation value of the wire flexure is gradually changed to continue the groove detection until the wire electrode and the workpiece are not short-circuited and the groove detection stops. Then the wire flexure value in the corner part or in the circular arc is obtained to establish the machining parameter data of the machine to automatically compensate the wire flexure value in the following machining.
