  • Patent number: 7082958
Abstract: An air valve includes a valve member for attaching to a bladder, and having a bore, and a greater space communicating with the bore for receiving a plug. The plug includes a needle passage to receive an air inflating needle. A protective bonnet is engaged onto the valve member and includes an outer wall member having one or more openings to allow air to flow into and out of the bladder. The protective bonnet has a flexible bottom panel capable of blocking the valve member by the pressurized air in the bladder. The wall member of the protective bonnet is bellows-shaped formed by one or more peripheral bulges and one or more peripheral recesses.

  • Publication number: 20060012094
Abstract: A magnetic retaining device for attaching a work piece to a machine tool includes a magnetic housing having two housing members secured together and having different magnetic poles, and a magnetic core rotatably received in the magnetic housing and having two core members having different magnetic poles. The magnetic force of the housing members may be offset by the core members when the core members are received in the housing members of different magnetic poles, and may be increased when the core members are received in the housing members of the same magnetic poles, in order to selectively and stably retain the work piece to the machine tool.

  • Patent number: 6959602
Abstract: Plate waves are used to determine the presence of defects within a porous medium, such as a membrane. An acoustic wave can be propagated through a porous medium to create a plate wave within the medium. The plate wave creates fast compression waves and slow compression waves within the medium that relate to the material and structural properties of the medium. The fast compression wave provides information about the total porosity of a medium. While the slow compression wave provides information about the presence of defects in the medium or the types of materials that form the medium.

  • Patent number: 6902792
Abstract: A pad structure with arc bridges like structure that can provide sufficient elasticity and strength. The pad structure mainly contains: a frame, a first layer and a second layer. The frame contains plural interlaced members. Each of the members contains a top surface, a bottom surface and two side surfaces. The frame has plural grids therein. The first layer contains a bottom surface having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion of the bottom surface of the first layer is united on the top surfaces of the frame. The first layer forms plural upwardly protrudent arc surfaces on top of the grids. The second layer contains a top surface united on the bottom surfaces, the side surfaces of the frame and the second portion of the bottom surface of the first layer.

  • Patent number: 6863958
Abstract: A cushioning means, which contains a substrate sheet, bouncing cells made of elastic material convexly formed on one side of the substrate sheet, supporting cells made of elastic material convexly formed on the other side of the substrate sheet, each the supporting cell having a passage connected to the corresponding bouncing cell, and a liquid article such as water take part of the space between the surfaces of the bouncing cells and supporting cells. Since the space is not full of the liquid, an air chamber is formed in the bouncing cells. The cushioning means utilizes the low density and high compressible nature of air collaborating with the flowing nature of liquid for the comfortable and effective cushioning purposes.

  • Publication number: 20040076812
Abstract: A foamable structure includes a film shell having a bottom face and a peripheral wall, and a foamable material mounted in the film shell and having a bottom face combined with the bottom face of the film shell, and a peripheral wall combined with the peripheral wall of the film shell. Thus, the film shell is coated on the periphery of the foamable material, so that the film shell is combined with the foamable material rigidly and stably, thereby preventing the foamable material from detaching from the film shell due to a pulling action of an external force.
