    Abstract: A fastener tape of a fastener stringer extends beyond an edge of a fastener element closer to a connecting portion and an extension length is restricted to be smaller than 12 mm. In this way, when the fastener stringer is curved in a tape width direction of the fastener tape, it is possible to effectively suppress a tape extension portion of the fastener tape from partially floating. Thus, it is possible to stably sew the fastener stringer while maintaining the tape extension portion in an approximately flat form even when the fastener tape is curved. Moreover, since floating or the like of the sewn fastener tape occurs rarely, it is possible to prevent deterioration of the quality of external appearance.

At least two adjacent element row binding yarns disposed on a side toward coupling heads of the coupling elements run over upper and lower leg portions of the coupling elements in the longitudinal direction of the tape, and then run under a foundation weft yarn running below an adjacent coupling element and that adjacent coupling element. Each of the two adjacent element binding warp yarns is woven in this repeating pattern, which suppresses floating of the binding warp yarns after a space portion is formed.

    Abstract: In a woven slide fastener stringer, a continuous coupling element row is woven successively along a side edge of a fastener tape with a plurality of fixing warp yarns arranged in parallel at the same time when the tape is woven. The fastener stringer is woven with a weaving structure that a tightening force to coupling element portions by at least two of the plurality of the element fixing warp yarns arranged in parallel, which are disposed on a side of coupling heads of the coupling element portions, is smaller than a tightening force to those by at least one of the element fixing warp yarns disposed on a side of connecting portions of the coupling element portions. As a result, the coupling element portions are woven firmly at the side of the connecting portion while gaps between the respective coupling heads can be expanded and reduced slightly. Therefore, the slide fastener stringer can ensure a firm fixing of the coupling element rows and facilitate coupling with the mating coupling element rows.

Therefore, the element row can be anchored firmly, and the two anchoring warps do not fall off the elements, and other element anchoring warps also do not fall off of the elements.

A multicolored cord or a number of multicolored yarns are woven or knitted into the fastener tape 1 along the inner longitudinal edge to produce a thickened reinforced section, thus producing an ornamental portion such as of rainbow colored. Fastener elements of various types may be fitted to the reinforced section of the fastener tape of the a fastener stringer, thus the fastener stringer has a beautiful ornamental portion. When multicolored yarns are used for several warps or warp knitting yarns located adjacent to the reinforced section, a broadened ornamental portion can be produced to enhance the color effect of the fastener stringer that may be used for a dress to improve its color effect.

    Abstract: In a concealed woven slide fastener stringer, a fastener tape is woven of foundation warp yarns and a double-pick foundation weft yarn, and a coiled fastener element is attached to folded inner margin of the tape by anchoring warp yarns and a double-pick anchoring weft yarn with coupling heads facing inwardly and connecting portions facing outwardly. The foundation weft yarn is interlaced with the outer one of two core cords inserted through the fastener element. The anchoring warp yarns cross the foundation weft yarn between the successive legs; one of the anchoring warp yarns is disposed between the coupling heads and the inner core cord, and two of the anchoring warp yarns are disposed between the core cords. The anchoring weft yarn is interlaced at one end with the outer anchoring warp yarn and at the other end with the foundation weft yarn crossing the inner anchoring warp yarn, thereby fixing the fastener element firmly.

    Abstract: A woven slide fastener stringer which includes a row of coiled coupling elements woven into one longitudinal edge portion of a woven stringer tape with a stuffer cord and upper and lower core threads extending longitudinally through a space defined in the coupling elements. Foundation warp threads and a foundation weft thread laid in double picks cooperate with the upper core thread to weave upper legs in the longitudinal tape edge portion. Binding warp threads underlying lower legs and interlaced at appropriate positions with the foundation weft thread, and the lower core thread are interlaced with a binding weft thread laid in double picks to weave the lower legs into the longitudinal tape edge portion. The binding weft thread is thinner than the foundation weft thread and aligned in parallel juxtaposition with the foundation weft thread in a region of the stringer tape excluding the longitudinal tape edge portion.

    Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for manufacturing a woven stringer for a concealed type of slide fastener having a row of continuous filamentary coupling elements woven integrally into a stringer tape. The row of coupling elements are formed into a continuous helical coil structure which is woven into a longitudinal edge of the stringer tape as the latter is woven and which is oriented so that each of the coupling elements has its heel portion disposed to project transversely beyond the longitudinal edge of the stringer tape and its coupling head portion directed toward a web portion of the tape when the stringer is produced. The resulting stringer when in use is folded back on a longitudinal axis so that the coupling head projects beyond the tape edge but is concealed from view when a pair of such stringers are coupled together.

The weft inserter includes an arm which when the weft thread is inserted is engageable with the monofilament to displace the latter out of the path of insertion of the weft thread so that the weft thread can be inserted smoothly without being frictionally engaged by the monofilament.
