  • Patent number: 11939039
Abstract: An aircraft door drainage system includes a precipitation receptacle disposed longitudinally along an upper edge of an aircraft door opening. The receptacle is mounted along the upper edge of the door opening by a plurality of brackets that connect the receptacle to an inside ceiling panel of the aircraft. The receptacle protrudes outward from the upper edge of the door opening into a path followed by precipitation falling off of an outer peripheral surface of a fuselage of the aircraft from locations above, forward, and aft of the door opening into the door opening when the aircraft door is in an open position. The receptacle remains clear of the aircraft door when the aircraft door is closed into the door opening. Drain hoses are connected at first and second ends of the receptacle to direct precipitation collected in the receptacle to an outside of the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 11847661
Abstract: Systems and methods for authenticating material samples are provided. Digital images of the samples are processed to extract computer-vision features, which are used to train a classification algorithm along with location and optional time information. The extracted features/information of a test sample are evaluated by the trained classification algorithm to identify the test sample. The results of the evaluation are used to track and locate counterfeits or authentic products.

Date of Patent: December 19, 2023
    Assignee: 3M Innovative Properties Company
Inventors: Nicholas A. Asendorf, Jennifer F. Schumacher, Robert D. Lorentz, James B. Snyder, Golshan Golnari, Muhammad Jamal Afridi
  • Patent number: 11816946
Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting/identifying novel material samples are provided. A test sample image is processed with a trained transformation function to obtain a transformed matrix. A measure of similarity of the test image based on the transformed matrix is compared to a threshold to determine whether the test sample is novel to a batch of material samples that are provided to train the transformation function.

  • Publication number: 20070203910
Abstract: A method of processing a transaction request at a database load balancer. The method comprises receiving the transaction request, where the transaction request is comprised of one or more operations; analyzing the transaction request to determine the one or more operations; associating one or more database locks with each of the one or more operations; analyzing one or more of the database locks to determine the one or more sequence numbers associated with each of the one or more operations; and transmitting the one or more operations with the associated database locks and the sequence numbers to one or more databases servers accessible to the database load balancer.
