  • Publication number: 20230272671
Abstract: A drilling machine, including a drill and a boom, are used for drilling boreholes in the face of a mine. A sensor may scan the mine and create a virtual environment representing the mine based on that scan. The drilling machine may include a computer for moving the drill and the boom from a first position to a second position based at least partially on evaluation of the kinematic redundancy of the drill and boom. This may be used to avoid a collision in moving the drill and boom from the first position to the second position.

  • Patent number: 11563539
Abstract: Concepts and technologies directed to agile transport for background traffic in cellular networks are disclosed herein. In various aspects, a system can include a processor and memory storing instructions that, upon execution, cause performance of operations. The operations can include determining a capacity of a communication path that communicatively couples a user equipment to a radio access network cell site. The operations can include identifying, from the radio access network cell site, a queue that is constructed for the user equipment. The operations can include assembling a plurality of probe burst packet sets from a background traffic flow. The operations can include probing the communication path for spare capacity using the plurality of probe burst packet sets and delivering the background traffic flow to the user equipment using the spare capacity while the communication path is not busy.

  • Patent number: 9837956
Abstract: The heat exchanger for photovoltaic (PV) panels is a heat exchanger that maintains a uniform temperature for cooling PV modules. The heat exchanger is a box-shaped enclosure attached to the rear face of the PV panel. The enclosure has an inlet end, an outlet end, and a plurality of parallel baffles disposed between the ends defining a plurality of channels dividing fluid flow through the enclosure into parallel paths. The spaces between the ends of the baffles and the inlet and outlet ends define an inlet header and an outlet header. In one embodiment, the fluid inlet and outlet are disposed in diagonally opposite corners of the disclosure, opening into triangular input and output headers. In another embodiment, the fluid inlet and outlet are centered at the ends of the enclosure, and the outlet header is V-shaped with the vertex extending into the enclosure along its centerline.

  • Patent number: 7414484
Abstract: Voltage controlled oscillator (“VCO”) circuitry includes LC tank or ring VCO circuitry and frequency divider circuitry that divides the frequency output by the oscillator circuitry by a selectable integer factor that is at least 2 in the case of a ring oscillator or at least 4 in the case of an LC tank oscillator. This arrangement allows the oscillator circuitry to operate at frequencies that are higher than the desired final output frequencies, which has such advantages as reducing the size and power consumption of the oscillator circuitry, and allowing the circuitry as a whole to have a wide range of operating frequencies while reducing the frequency range over which the oscillator circuitry may be required to operate.
