  • Publication number: 20240168190
Abstract: Example computer-implemented methods, media, and systems for well log data conditioning using quantified uncertainties in rock physics and seismic inversion results. One example computer-implemented method includes determining, using multiple measured elastic logs corresponding to multiple wells, one or more first elastic attributes of the multiple wells. Respective uncertainty is added to each of the multiple measured elastic logs. Multiple simulated elastic logs are generated based on the added respective uncertainty and the multiple measured elastic logs. One or more second elastic attributes are determined using the multiple simulated elastic logs. A respective error bound for each of the multiple measured elastic logs is determined based on the respective uncertainty added to each of the multiple measured elastic logs, the one or more first elastic attributes, and the one or more second elastic attributes. Conditioning of a measured elastic well log is performed using the determined error bounds.

  • Patent number: 11852768
Abstract: Computer-implemented stratigraphic play quality generation is disclosed. Stratigraphic data can be processed from each of a plurality of respective data sources to generate conditioned stratigraphic data. From at least some of the conditioned stratigraphic data, attributes of at least one seismic sequence can be extracted, and at least one seismic surface and at least one structural element associated with at least some of the conditioned stratigraphic data can be determined. At least some of the conditioned stratigraphic data representing sedimentary layers can be correlated with seismic reflection data to ascertain a subsurface of the geologic area at a respective depth. Reservoir properties associated with the geologic area are linked to elastic properties, and a 2D model built. Moreover, 3D map can be generated that is usable for a prospective drilling plan.

  • Publication number: 20220099851
Abstract: Systems and methods for quantitative seismic integrated modelling (QSIM) are disclosed for integrating the one, two and three-dimensional (1D, 2D, 3D) data from different geoscience domains within a framework in order to produce hi-resolution geocellular models that simulate realistic sub-surface reservoir properties. The QSIM systems and methods accurately leverage the seismically derived reservoir rock properties, integrating the geophysical, geological and engineering information through an optimum rock physics models and takes in consideration all the empirically constrained templates to correct, validate and quality check all the input data.
