  • Patent number: 11641526
Abstract: A method and a system are described for improving a dynamic range of a CMOS image sensor by pixel-embedded signal amplification. An electromagnetic radiation is incident for a predetermined duration on a pixel array including a plurality of photodiodes. The photodiodes release electrons in form of an input electronic signal and the released input signal is temporarily stored in a storage node. The said input signal is then transferred to a gate of an in-pixel amplifier, which is configured to dynamically alternate between modes of capacitance and switched biasing, using a single in-pixel switch. Then, the in-pixel amplifier is modulated while in capacitance mode for a voltage build-up and this augment gain of the input signal. Thereafter, the in-pixel amplifier alternates to a switched biasing mode for suppression of noise signals. Finally, a resultant electronic signal is generated with a high gain after processing and suppression of the noise signals.

  • Patent number: 11620064
Abstract: Techniques are provided for asynchronous semi-inline deduplication. A multi-tiered storage arrangement comprises a first storage tier, a second storage tier, etc. An in-memory change log of data recently written to the first storage tier is evaluate to identify a fingerprint of a data block recently written to the first storage tier. A donor data store, comprising fingerprints of data blocks already stored within the first storage tier, is queried using the fingerprint. If the fingerprint is found, then deduplication is performed for the data block to create deduplicated data based upon a potential donor data block within the first storage tier. The deduplicated data is moved from the first storage tier to the second storage tier, such as in response to a determination that the deduplicated data has not been recently accessed. The deduplication is performed before cold data is moved from first storage tier to second storage tier.

  • Publication number: 20230084373
Abstract: Downhole telemetry systems and related methods adaptively compensate for channel non-linearity effects. To compensate for channel non-linearity, the optimum signal generation parameters are determined that produce the desired modulated pressure variation at the surface. The signal generation parameters are optimized to minimize the discrepancy between the surface detected pressure signal and the intended signal. The mud propagation channel is first estimated in light of the known modulation scheme under an ideal linear-time-invariant channel assumption. The estimated channel is used to synthesize the modulated pressure signal undergoing the mud propagation given the initial signal generation parameters. The method then varies the synthesized signal generation parameters to search for the optimal signal generation parameters. The optimal signal generation parameters are then sent over downlink channel to the downhole pulser, which is ultimately used to generate the pulse waveform.
