The anti-TM4SF4 humanized antibody of present invention has high affinity for binding specifically to TM4SF4 while exhibiting low immunogenicity in humans, and thus can be advantageously used to detect TM4SF4 or to target cancer cells and cancer stem cells that overexpress TM4SF4.

These antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof exhibit proliferation inhibitory activity of cancer cells so as to effectively prevent or treat cancer, and reduce the self-renewal ability of cancer stem cells to be usefully used even in the treatments of cancer with a poor prognosis in conventional anticancer treatments.
