Abstract: A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells; an upper case comprising a plurality of first side plates to surround a first space and an upper plate connected to upper ends of the first side plates, the upper case being configured to receive upper parts of the battery cells in the first space; and a lower case comprising a plurality of second side plates to surround a second space and a lower plate connected to lower ends of the second side plates, the lower case being configured to receive lower parts of the battery cells in the lower space. The upper plate has a plurality of through-holes.

Abstract: A battery pack includes a lower case defining a first space having a predetermined size; an upper case at an upper part of the lower case to be fastened to the lower case, the upper case defining a second space; at least one module frame in the first space of the lower case and the second space of the upper case, the module frame defining a battery cell receiving recess; and a battery cell in the battery cell receiving recess. An impact attenuation member configured to protect the module frame from external impact is disposed between an outer surface of the module frame and an inner surface of the lower case.

The busbar includes one or more first busbars located at an upper part of the cell frame and two second busbars located at opposite side surfaces of the cell frame. The cell frame and the busbar are integrally formed by insert injection molding.
