  • Patent number: 11961979
Abstract: A semiconductor device capable of charging that is less likely to cause deterioration of a power storage device is provided. The amount of a charging current is adjusted in accordance with the ambient temperature. Charging under low-temperature environments is performed with a reduced charging current. When the ambient temperature is too low or too high, the charging is stopped. Measurement of the ambient temperature is performed with a memory element using an oxide semiconductor. The use of a memory element using an oxide semiconductor enables measurement of the ambient temperature and retention of the temperature information to be performed at the same time.

  • Patent number: 8285009
Abstract: A fingerprint input apparatus for providing a plurality of inputs while moving a finger to acquire a fingerprint image, the fingerprint input apparatus determining an intersection of the plurality of input partial fingerprint images to calculate a relative location between the plurality of partial fingerprint images on the basis of the intersection and outputting the calculated relative location with the plurality of partial fingerprint images to an external device. The intersection of the plurality of partial fingerprint images is obtained, for example, on the basis of a density distribution of dots constituting each of the image. The relative location is at least one of the moving direction, the moving distance, and the angle of rotation. Thereby, there is no movable part and thus it eliminates a need for providing the external device with software processing for calculating the relative location of the partial fingerprint images, thereby achieving downsizing and power saving of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7555150
Abstract: This invention provides a fingerprint input apparatus which detects that a finger is put on a sensor element, which can reduce power consumption, which requires fewer components, and which is simple in configuration. In a fingerprint input apparatus which includes a sensor element for reading a fingerprint and a switch for detecting that a finger is put on the sensor element, which is activated by an operation of the switch the switch is a push switch, the sensor element and the switch are fixed to a housing, and the switch is arranged on an opposite surface to a surface on which the sensor element is arranged, across the housing. The switch may be a pressure sensitive switch instead of a push switch, and the apparatus may further include a unit for notifying a user whether it is appropriate to apply a depression pressure.

  • Patent number: 7542594
Abstract: In construction processing of a fingerprint partial image, distortion occurs in the general image due to accumulation of coordinate errors at image joining positions. While a latest partial image read by a sweep type fingerprint sensor is being displaced relative to an already acquired partial image, a displacement quantity at each displacement position is found. By interpolation computation using the found values, a first vector component indicating a movement quantity of the latest partial image in the slide direction, and first and second candidates for a second vector component indicating a movement quantity in a direction perpendicular to the slide direction are calculated as values each having a resolution higher than the pixel pitch. The latest partial image is disposed so as to be joined to the already acquired partial image on the basis of a movement quantity vector including the first and second vector components.

  • Patent number: 7505612
Abstract: When slide operation of a finger on a sweep type fingerprint sensor is not constant, it is difficult to construct a general image of a fingerprint. An inspection region, which is used to find a difference between a latest partial image read by a sweep type fingerprint sensor and an already acquired partial image, is set in the already acquired partial image along a displacement direction of a plurality of consecutive already acquired partial images. A retrieval range for a position of superposition of the latest partial image on the already acquired partial image is set on the basis of a position of the inspection region. Displacement of the latest partial image with respect to the already acquired partial image is caused in the retrieval range and a difference between the already acquired partial image and the latest partial image concerning the inspection region is found every displacement.
