  • Patent number: 9151642
Abstract: A measuring instrument includes a display on which measurements are displayed. The display is provided by an organic electroluminescent panel or an electronic paper including an assembly of organic electroluminescence devices and includes: a display controlling section that displays a plurality of scale segment images at an equal interval and a pointer image at a position corresponding to the measurements among display areas displayed by the plurality of scale segment images; and a scale information input section that specifies at least one of the display areas and inputs scale interval information of the scale segment images on the specified area. The display controlling section includes a scale interval changing section that, based on the scale interval information, displays the scale segment images on the specified area commanded by the scale information input section.

  • Patent number: 7100298
Abstract: A contact block (31) is provided with a flat face portion (311A) parallel with the axis of a spindle (12) and a conical face portion (311B) that comes closer to the flat face portion (311A) along the axial direction of the spindle (12) in the direction of going away from the spindle (12). Even in the case of a shape formed by integrating a step and a gap inseparably, since the flat face portion (311A) is parallel with the axis of the spindle (12), it is possible to insert the contact block (31) into the gap while the axis of the spindle (12) is kept perpendicular to the direction of the gap, hence it is possible to measure the gap W accordingly.

  • Patent number: 6925727
Abstract: Since a dial face (3) and an area indicator (4) are formed separately to be independently turnable, the area indicator (4) is not rotated even when the dial face (3) is rotated. With this arrangement, the area indicator (4) can indicate a correct area regardless of the rotated position of the dial face (3), thereby preventing measurement errors. Further, since the area indicator (4) is not included in the dial face (3), the dial face (3) can be shared as a standard dial face.

  • Patent number: 6192755
Abstract: A dial gauge case, which has a bottom and a peripheral wall surrounding the bottom, the bottom and the peripheral wall defining a recess for accommodating a dial gauge mechanism therein. The peripheral wall is provided with a pair of bearings for slidably supporting a spindle of the dial gauge. The peripheral wall and the pair bearings are formed together as a one-piece molding of a plastic material. With the peripheral wall and the bearings formed together as a one-piece molding, the number of dial gauge components can be reduced, and the operation of assembling the dial gauge is simplified.

  • Patent number: 5960553
Abstract: A conversion mechanism of a dial gauge is provided with a spindle having a measuring point on the top end, and a sector gear having an abutting portion abutting on an engaging portion provided on the spindle, in which a sliding movement of the spindle is converted into a turning movement of the sector gear through the engaging portion and the abutting portion, then the turning movement is converted into a turning amount of a pointer. In such conversion mechanism of the dial gauge, the sector gear is integrally molded with the metal abutting portion with a plastic material, and the pointer adjusting means is provided, which enables to change the turning angle of the pointer without changing the position in the sliding direction of the measuring point on the spindle. Since the sector gear is integrally built, the cost of parts can be decreased, and since the pointer adjusting means is provided, the measurement at the easy-to-read position on the dial plate can be materialized.

  • Patent number: 5960552
Abstract: A swing amount magnifying mechanism is disclosed, which converts a swing angle S of a first arm 41 pivotally mounted on a first shaft 5 is converted by an adjacent second arm 26 into a swing angle .theta.. A movable surface 141A which transmits swinging of the first arm 41 to a transmitting pin 28A of the second arm 26 is inclined with respect to a neutral line M. Magnification factor K (.theta./S) thus can be stabilized over a side range of the angle .theta. without being affected by displacement of the transmitting pin 28A in the direction of a neutral line M. Highly accurate swing amount conversion is thus obtainable with a fixed magnification factor without substantial component alteration.

  • Patent number: 4566201
Abstract: This invention relates to a digital indication type dimension measuring instrument provided with a shock absorbing mechanism for controlling an overspeed of a spindle. The shock absorbing mechanism is provided with a pressure adjusting device which comprises a valve chamber having a communication hole communicated with a pressure chamber in a cylinder, an open hole communicated with the atmosphere and a ball valve for suitably opening or blocking the communication hole. When the spindle is inclined to a predetermined angle of inclination or more, the ball valve opens the communication hole to release a pressure fluid in the cylinder to the atmosphere.
