  • Patent number: 8899069
Abstract: A food preserving method includes the step of housing a conductive food tray in a cooling box, placing food on the food tray and cooling and preserving the food with an AC voltage and a DC voltage being simultaneously applied to the food tray. After a DC-AC simultaneous application period during which the AC voltage and the DC voltage are simultaneously applied, the food is cooled with only one of the DC voltage and the AC voltage being applied to the food tray. A food preserving device including a cooling box, a conductive food tray housed in the cooling box, an AC power supply used for applying an AC voltage to the food tray and a DC power supply used for applying a DC voltage to the food tray is characterizing in that the AC voltage and the DC voltage are simultaneously applied to the food tray.

  • Patent number: 8394320
Abstract: A method of preserving a biomaterial according to the present invention includes the step of simultaneously applying negative DC voltage and AC voltage to a biomaterial (O). It is preferable that in the simultaneous voltage application step, the biomaterial (O) is stored in a container (1) that surrounds at least the periphery of the biomaterial (O), and a voltage application plate (2) supplied with negative DC voltage and AC voltage in a superposed manner is placed along one outer surface of the container (1), so that the voltage is indirectly applied to the biomaterial (O).

  • Publication number: 20060233925
Abstract: A food preserving method includes the step of housing a conductive food tray (2) in a cooling box (1), placing food (9) on the food tray (2) and cooling and preserving the food (9) with an AC voltage and a DC voltage being simultaneously applied to the food tray (2). After a DC-AC simultaneous application period during which the AC voltage and the DC voltage are simultaneously applied, the food (9) is cooled with only one of the DC voltage and the AC voltage being applied to the food tray (2).
