  • Publication number: 20230191597
Abstract: There is provided a control device to protect an actuator through a simple configuration in a case where a power transmission mechanism receives external force, the control device including a comparison section and a driving force control section. The comparison section compares a first rotation position and a second rotation position with each other. The first rotation position is a rotation position of an input shaft of a power transmission mechanism, and the second rotation position is a rotation position of an output shaft of the power transmission mechanism. The driving force control section controls driving force of an actuator that drives the input shaft on the basis of a difference between the first rotation position and the second rotation position. This configuration allows the actuator to be protected through a simple configuration in a case where the power transmission mechanism receives external force.

  • Publication number: 20220288770
Abstract: Communication with a user is more naturally and effectively realized. An information processing apparatus includes an autonomous mobile body (10) that travels while maintaining an inverted state, and an operation control unit (230) that controls an operation of the autonomous mobile body. The autonomous mobile body includes a main body (10), two wheels (620) mounted on the main body, and a drive mechanism (565) that drives the two wheels. The operation control unit controls the drive mechanism to maintain the inverted state of the autonomous mobile body by the two wheels. When the autonomous mobile body is placed on a surface that is flat, a part of a columnar surface (621) of each of the wheels comes into contact with the surface.

  • Patent number: 7768879
Abstract: An optical pickup includes a lens holder holding an objective lens for converging a light beam on a signal recording layer of an optical disk; elastic support members supporting the lens holder such that the lens holder can freely move in three driving directions, i.e., a tracking direction, a focusing direction, and a tilting direction; a pair of coil units attached to two sides of the lens holder, the two sides being spaced in a tangential direction orthogonal to the focusing direction and tracking direction; and a pair of magnets arranged to face the corresponding coil units. Each coil unit includes a tracking coil, a focusing coil, and a tilting coil for driving the lens holder in the three driving directions. The focusing coil and the tilting coil are formed by winding a focusing conductor of the focusing coil and a tilting conductor of the tilting coil together in parallel.

  • Patent number: 7703111
Abstract: In this invention, an objective lens driving device, an optical pickup, and an optical disk device are disclosed which have a feature that plural dynamic vibration absorbers provided at the retaining section, by which the elastic supporting members supporting the movable section retaining the objective lens are connected to the movable section, can reduce a resonance peak, which may worsen the servo characteristic, and suppress unwanted vibration effectively, since the character frequency of the dynamic vibration absorbers functions as a damper against the vibration of the movable section. This invention also discloses a method of suppressing the vibration of the movable section.

  • Patent number: 7137133
Abstract: The pickup device is used in a drive device of an optical disc and is opposed to the optical disc to irradiate a light beam from a light source onto an information recording surface of the optical disc. The pickup device has the actuator including the objective lens for condensing a light beam on the information recording surface of the optical disc, and irradiation of a light beam on the optical disc is controlled by moving the objective lens. Further, the pickup device has the optical system for directing a light beam, which is emitted from the light source, to a position below the objective lens. The optical system is placed at the same height level as the actuator. Therefore, as compared with the case where the optical system is provided below the actuator, the whole pickup can be smaller in thickness, and it is possible to provide a pickup device suitable for a thin drive device.

  • Patent number: 6906430
Abstract: The actuator is used in a pickup device for a drive device of an optical disc. The actuator is positioned opposing to the optical disc to irradiates a light beam from a light source to an information recording surface of the optical disc. The objective lens is fixed at on the lens holder forming the actuator at a position closer to one end thereof. One coil substrate is fixed on one side face of the lens holder in a range from the one end of the lens holder to a center portion of the lens holder, and the other coil substrate is fixed on the other side face of the lens holder in a range from the other end of the lens holder to the center portion of the lens holder. Therefore, near the end of the lens holder on the objective lens side, the coil substrate is not attached to one side of the lens holder, providing a space below the objective lens. By arranging an optical system to guide the light beam to the objective lens via the space, the optical system can be arranged at the same height level as the actuator.
