  • Patent number: 7278330
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of inspecting a porous structure, capable of simply inspecting pore characteristics (porosity, average pore diameter, total pore volume) of the porous structure by inspection of a weight of a formed article which was formed, dried and worked into a predetermined dimension without requiring any special device or technique, and capable of easily performing a total inspection. A relation between a pore characteristics of a fired article obtained by firing a formed/dried formed article having a predetermined shape, and a weight of the formed article is measured beforehand, and a standard value of the pore characteristics of the fired article, and a standard value of the weight of the formed article are established. Thereafter, the pore characteristics of the fired article are inspected from the weight of the formed article based on the respective standard values.

  • Publication number: 20050218543
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of controlling pore characteristics (porosity, average pore diameter, and total pore volume) of a porous structure, capable of manufacturing a porous structure having stable pore characteristics, even when fluctuation of a pore forming ratio of an materials to be used for extrusion differs with each lot. In the method of controlling the pore characteristics of the porous structure, a part of an materials to be used for extrusion of the porous structure is sampled and extruded, the pore characteristics of an obtained formed article or a characteristic of the materials to be used for extrusion are grasped beforehand, and the pore characteristics of the extruded/formed article and the fired article are controlled.

  • Patent number: 5942122
Abstract: An ion-exchanged purified water having an odor substance generated from a double bed type purified water producing apparatus and a mix bed type purified water producing apparatus is flowed through a hydrogen type weak acid cation exchange resin to obtain an odor-free refined purified water. Moreover, an original water is passed through a single ion-exchange tower in which a mix resin layer of a regenerated mix bed type purified water producing portion is arranged at an upper portion and a hydrogen type strong acid cation exchange resin of a polisher portion is arranged at a lower portion, so that an odor substance in the ion-exchanged purified water generated from the mix bed type purified water producing portion is removed by the polisher portion and the odor-free purified water is obtained.

  • Patent number: 4820667
Abstract: A high strength zirconia ceramic composition consisting essentially of a compound of ZrO.sub.2 containing less than 5.0 mol % Y.sub.2 O.sub.3 as a stabilizer and further containing 1-30 wt % aluminum and magnesium contents to the amount of the compound of ZrO.sub.2 in terms of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 and MgO. In the case that the compound of ZrO.sub.2 further contains CeO.sub.2 as a stabilizer, the total amount of Y.sub.2 O.sub.3 and CeO.sub.2 is determined to be 1.0-15 mol % to the amount of the compound of ZrO.sub.2.
