Abstract: A pressure ulcer boot includes a boot body formed from a layer of flexible material, an array of selectively inflatable and deflatable air pockets mounted to a portion of the boot body, an air pump in fluid communication with the array of air pockets, and a micro-processor operative to control the air pump to selectively inflate and deflate the air pockets and to apply pressure via the air pockets at regular intervals to increase circulation and relieve pressure in a portion of a patient's body with which the pressure ulcer boot is in contact.

Abstract: An aortic punch includes a cylindrical barrel, a cylindrical plunger movably mounted within the barrel, a blade shaft movably mounted within a distal end of the barrel and having a first cutting tool at a distal end thereof, the first cutting tool configured to form a first cut in a wall of a blood vessel, and a cylindrical punch body movably mounted within a distal end of the barrel and about the blade shaft and having a second, circular cutting tool configured to form a circular hole in the wall of a blood vessel around the first cut.

Abstract: An IVC filter retrieval device useful for removing an IVC filter from a blood vessel, and useful for removing a tilted IVC filter causing the hook to be embedded in the side (wall) of a blood vessel from the blood vessel, and methods for using the same are described. The IVC retrieval device can be used to retrieve other foreign bodies such as, but not limited to, catheters and wires that may become detached from their devices and released into the blood vessels.

Abstract: A wound dressing system having an oxygen-permeable membrane having a first surface and a second surface with oxygen-permeable pillars extending from the second surface is described.
