Abstract: An intermediation apparatus is designed to interconnect at least one service provider and at least one user by using a non-Internet channel. The apparatus includes an intelligent connection management unit for recognizing an incoming protocol and for selecting an outgoing protocol and an outgoing communications channel by referring to databases. A protocol conversion unit controlled by the management unit interconnects a service provider using a channel that implements a first communications protocol and a user using the non-Internet channel that implements a second communications protocol. The non-Internet channel is advantageously a wireless communications channel.

Abstract: A method for the secure storing of personal data and for consulting same is carried out in a terminal that is connected to a chip card reader and fitted with a man-machine interface. A browser executing on the terminal conducts a dialogue with a remote server by way of a communication network. Pages of data are viewed on a display device of the interface. Personal data is input by a user in response to the pages displayed, and the data is stored locally for consultation and remotely on the server for saving.

Abstract: A method for representing a first entity by a third party entity who is addressed by a second entity to request sensitive data from the first entity. The transmission of part at least of the sensitive data is controlled with a personal electronic medium held by the first entity. This medium can itself contain the sensitive data instead of the third party entity, and/or information for selectively locking or unlocking the third party entity if the latter holds it. The medium can be in the form of a smart card, for example a SIM card for the mobile telephone system.
