  • Patent number: 9574430
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for delivering a substance containing hydrocarbons from a reservoir. The reservoir can be subjected to thermal energy in order to reduce the viscosity of the substance. The apparatus includes at least one conductor loop for inductively applying current as an electric/electromagnetic heater. A conductor of the conductor loop is surrounded in at least one section by a liquid-carrying conduit. The liquid-carrying conduit is perforated such that when a liquid is supplied the liquid penetrates into the reservoir from the liquid-carrying conduit via a perforation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 31, 2011
Date of Patent: February 21, 2017
    Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT
Inventors: Dirk Diehl, Norbert Huber, Andreas Koch, Michael Koolman, Muris Torlak, Bernd Wacker
  • Patent number: 9470768
Abstract: A cooling device for disposal between two flat coils of a gradient coil has at least one first and with at least one second foil that are connected to each other in areas such that continuous cooling channels for a cooling fluid are formed. The cooling channels are branched, whereby an improved cooling effect is produced with a smaller thickness of the cooling device.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: October 18, 2016
    Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT
Inventors: Norbert Huber, Lothar Schoen, Stefan Stocker, Muris Torlak
  • Patent number: 9322255
Abstract: A device is provided for extracting a hydrocarbon-containing substance from a reservoir. Thermal energy can be applied to the reservoir in order to reduce the viscosity of the substance. The device includes at least one conductor loop for inductively supplying electric current, to provide electric and/or electromagnetic heating, and a fluid conducting device for transporting and introducing a solvent fluid into the reservoir, to further reduce the viscosity of the substance.
