    Abstract: There are provided dermatological compositions achieved by combining solubilized, stabilized hydroquinone salicylic acid and hydrocortisone by dissolving the three ingredents in dimethyl isosorbide. These preparations are intended for the treatment of melasma and related disorders of the skin such as freckles, senile lentigines, chloasma, ultraviolet induced dyschromia and discoloration resulting from ingestion of oral contraceptives or hormonal replacement therapy.
