Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for dynamically determining media consumption of a user. A user may perform at least one of a plurality of consumption indication events for a media item. The consumption indication events may include submitting a rating of the media item, submitting a review of the media item, indicating a present consumption of the media item, indicating a past consumption of the media item, etc. It may be determined that the user has consumed the media item in response to determining that the user has performed at least one of the consumption indication events for the media item.

Abstract: Systems and methods for classifying and ranking one or more keywords associated with a media work may be provided. In an embodiment, a system can recommend a set of media works in response to receiving information about a keyword associated with a media work. The system can recommend the set of media works based on aggregated classification information for a plurality of keywords associated with a plurality of media works, and aggregated rating information for the aggregated classification information. In an example, the aggregated rating information can represent the relevancy of a classification associated with at least one media work of the plurality of media works.

Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for searching a dynamic data source using a static search engine. In one embodiment, the method includes: determining that a search request for data includes at least one attribute associated with dynamic data, retrieving dynamic data associated with the at least one attribute and corresponding to the search request, combining the retrieved dynamic data with static data that corresponds to the search request, and returning the combined data in response to the search request. The dynamic data may be located separately from the static data, for example, at a remote storage and may be searched in parallel with the static data if necessary. The retrieved dynamic data may be combined with the static data and returned to the user.
