  • Patent number: 11970325
Abstract: A shipping container made of two panels each made of recyclable, single face corrugated paper comprising an outer liner with corrugated medium. In one embodiment, the panels are formed from a large blank, that is folded in half and joined at their side edges. The flutes on the corrugated mediums are parallel and longitudinally aligned with the shipping container's longitudinal axis. The top edge of each panel is detached and form a top opening into an interior pocket formed between the two panels. Formed or attach to one panel is a top flap configured to be folded over and selectively attached to the opposite panel to close the top opening, Formed on each corrugated medium is at least one set of score lines of various geometric shapes and orientations. The score lines act as folding lines that enable the panels to bend along different axes so that the overall shape of the shipping container better conforms to the object placed in the interior pocket.

  • Publication number: 20150357145
Abstract: An installation and removal tool for light bulbs and similar items comprising modular and interchangeable attachment heads, a pole, an articulating joint, and an extraction head. Attachment heads comprise a gripping unit and a handle and are each configured to cooperate with one or more light bulb shapes and/or sizes and further comprises an adhesive system. Several embodiments of the gripping unit comprise a bulb cavity with an engagement surface and a release lip and an adhesive system mounted on the engagement surface such that an air channel is created surrounding the adhesive system. The adhesive system comprises pressure sensitive adhesive and preferably defines an opening in fluid communication with a bore defined by the handle to accommodate extended and oddly shaped bulbs. A protective liner that cooperates with the adhesive component to preserve the functionality of the adhesive when it is not in use.

  • Publication number: 20060086862
Abstract: A rod is coupled to a frame to hold a wire reel that is to be loaded onto it. A roller is coupled to the frame so that its radial surface stays in contact with a radial surface of a spool wall of the loaded reel, as the loaded reel rotates. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20050284046
Abstract: Pieces that are components of a frame for a window having a threat side and a safe side include a base and a pressure plate that together form part of one of a sill section, a head section, and a jamb section of the window. The base and pressure plate are elongated in a longitudinal direction. The base has (1) an L-shaped cross-section at a near portion of the base to receive an end of a glazing unit from the threat side of the window, and (2) a first pocket formed in a far portion of the base and running in said longitudinal direction. The rear portion is closer to the threat side than the far portion. The pressure plate is to be assembled with the base so as to secure the glazing unit in the corner. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20050188631
Abstract: A window framing system has multiple pieces that are components of a primary frame. The pieces are pre-formed, and may be assembled so as to build the frame at a job site. The pieces include a sub-frame and a base. The sub-frame has a corner to receive a glazing unit. The base is to be assembled with the sub-frame so as to secure the glazing unit in the corner. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 6088979
Abstract: An improved frame and a method to install the frame is disclosed. The sub-base includes a first portion for coupling to a secondary glazing and a first portion for coupling to existing building material. A base includes a first portion having a first surface for coupling to the secondary glazing and a second portion for coupling to the sub-base. A snap cover is provided for removably coupling to the base and for hiding any anchoring employed to secure the base and sub-base to the existing building material. The snap cover also defines a curved surface for contacting with the second glazing so as to minimize marring of the second glazing. The sub-base includes a break-off groove that allows the base and sub-base to flexibly receive glazings of different thicknesses. The base employs a fillet along the length of the base to provide additional support for the secondary glazing.
